There were less 1LEs made in 2013 than 2014. Not sure about 2015. You're right there are way more Camaros produced before the '14 refresh, but the 1LE was only available in 2013. Pre refresh 1LEs will be way more rare than post refresh.

my 2 cents...over the next few years hot wheels will hold up the best. What I mean by this is it will decrease the slowest in value. 2 big reasons blue and it it hot wheels. I would suspect followed by indy editions. The z28 will plummet do to original cost. So will zl1. Synergy or new green edition is a hit or miss either people love green or just don't want it. In 20 -30 years who knows but in 5-10 we all know it will hit closer to bottom prices.

2013 1SS or 2SS 1LE inferno orange. Last year of the IOM color AND model before changeover.
Which color is not available in 14 or 15 that was in 13...IOM. Which submodel is produced now that still is absent a color? IOM. Which Camaro is still produced sans a model change AND absent a color? IOM. 2013 IOM 1SS or 2SS is the rarest.

It is too early to tell. I mean, sure the Z28 will be desirable down the road, but I'm more interested in talking about certain model/trim/package/color combinations that could be potentially rare and therefore more sought after by the average joe collector and not the big money people out there.
I do believe some of the rarer colors will be a little more desirable, especially if paired with an SS model. Will it be a small fortune, no, but it will help the cause in a sense. Everyone is quick to point out the Synergy Green, available from the second half of 2010 through the first half of 2011. Only on LT's (I think) in 2010, but available on 2011 SS models as well. That may well be a sought after one, but, to this day, I still see more Synergy Green Camaros on a semi-regular basis than I ever do Aqua Blue. I've seen 3 Aqua Blue ones since 2010 in my area, and two of those may have been the same one twice. It may be quite possible that 2010 SS Aqua Blues may end up being one of the rarest and desirable colors. What about the new Green on the 2015 Spring Edition? With all the hype of the 2016's coming out this fall, how many of those are being ordered, by dealers or direct customer order through a dealership? I've seen the one member on here with one, but I have yet to ever see the color in my area. I have a 2015 Blue Velvet 1SS 1LE, which, years from now will likely just be lumped in with Blue Ray (2013-2014) and Imperial Blue (2010-2012) as a "Dark Blue 5th Gen", but it is a different shade of blue than those two nonetheless. Will it make a difference? Probably not, but it is another one year only color. I'd dare say that a 2014 1SS or 2SS 1LE in that 2014 only Magenta color might be a super rare car. I've seen only one in that color period, and it was an LT on a dealer lot last year. I'd be curious to know if there even was anyone with a 1LE in that color. I'd sure like to see a picture of one. Who knows if it would be desirable though, it evidently wasn't very desirable new, because I've only ever seen just the one. It will be interesting to see what becomes sought after. But I'm not going to sweat it, no matter what it ends up being. You can't take it with you when you're gone, so I am going to enjoy mine and keep it as long as I can. Not because I expect it to be worth something someday, but because I want to be that old guy that has a vintage muscle car in his garage that everyone is envious of someday. With CAFE regulations expanding and cars changing, just having one of these beasts in your golden years might be all the reward you'd ever need. |

With the copo not being street legal this may actually hurt its value. It's a pretty one dimensional (drag race) vehicle Ryan

The rarest of the rare 2013 1LEs will be the Blue Ray and Crystal Red 1SS at 20 a piece factory made. Gotta say, I am jealous. |

Any style car can be worth money. My dad had a 67 Camaro RS, 327 with a 3 speed on the floor, wrecked in the early 80's by my sister in a mall parking lot. Nobody cared, they were a dime a dozen. He sold it to the junkyard for a couple hundred bucks or something. In 2005 I went to the Volo auto museum and there was an early 80s firebird with 5 miles on it still with original dealer stickers in the window. They were asking like 30-40k. I was shocked. So, you never know...
I don't care if my 1le is worth anything 20 years from now, but I am keeping all my original parts as I mod, just in case... |
