Not only because of the looks (but thats the main reason), but for the climate effect, too.

yes, Llumar is also an excellent ceramic tint.

and yes, everything is more expensive in California, but like i said, you get what you pay for. Here's a picture looking through the tinted windshield, with the top down, back in February:

That does seem like it cuts down on the glare. Only problem I see with that pic is that should be me there instead of you!!

after my son saw my windshield tint, he went and got 30 on his Silverado 2500HD windshield. the 30 was too dark for me, but then i'm old, 50 was just fine on the windshield. no problems at night either, or with the CHP who always compliment my car.

My ZL1 has 3m Crystalline, 40 on sides and back and 70 on the windshield. No visibility problems day or night.

not a ZL, but tint was first then springs....you just have to to get the look right.

Tinting your windows is fine, but make sure you know the vehicle traffic laws in the state you drive in with your tinted windows. The local law enforcement personnel in that state may be helping you part with your money with fines for illegal tint. Cops will do what they do.

In NC the law is that window tint is no lower than 32% visible light transmission. If it is more than that when it's time for inspection, they won't pass the vehicle around here.
I got a price quote and just for the glass on the doors, they wanted to charge $200.
I would rather do it myself or go without, especially since I can't legally go darker.

20% on both front windows and 5% around the back for $190. The law in California sucks, 70% on the front windows only, o well.
