We'll be installing one of these kits in two weeks. Should be fun!

Hoping to have it installed by the end of the month or early September. RMCR in Colorado Springs gave me a quote for everything and looked at the kit... we are just trying to figure out when they will have time to fit me in.

It really is a pretty easy install, they did a really good job designing the kit. My only advise would be to be VERY careful gapping the plugs, the iridium is really fragile on these ngk's. You can't touch them at all with a gapper or you will get spark blowout at higher rpms. I have mine gapped at .026-.028 anything higher results in spark blowout. Also when you tee into the big vacuum hose going to the booster do it closer to the intake Because there is a hidden valve inside of it, you must be on the intake side of that valve or it'll never see intake vacuum/boost. Those two things caused a lot of head scratching on my install. Other than that it's very straight forward.

I have the Autolite XP5263 Iridium spark plugs. I'll make a note of these two things for the install shop. Thanks.

Denso ITV24 are iridium pre-gap @ 0.032". They are one step colder and used on turbo MazdaSpeed 3's. I hate trying to gap iridium plugs, very easy to screw up.

That's good to know, my setup doesn't seem to like .030 and above.. I get the cutting out at the top end.. Gap down to .026-.028 and its gone. Weird too because Gretchen said .030-.032 worked fine for him. Maybe I'll give those a try next time. I'm already on my 3rd set of plugs since going FI lol. I think if you even look at the plugs wrong the iridium falls off of them.

Had it wrong, ITV22 is 1 step colder, ITV24 is 2 steps, ITV24 is 3 steps. The 22 is equal to NGK 7, then 24=8, 27=9

Can't wait to see how it turns out on your car! I'm set on one of these turbo kits but I don't think I'll be ready for another year or so. Hopefully they're still in production then. And Jantzen, I absolutely love your car. I've read through your thread like 3 times now lol. I would love to be setting quarter mile times like you one day.

Has anyone tried using the Vitesse Throttle Controller with turbos or a supercharger?

Off topic but do you like your spacer and intake? Did you notice much out of them together? Looking to maybe get those next week.
Lastly did you get your HP tune done or purchase the tuner and have them send a tune? Was looking at some of their options @ FSP or trying to decide if using somewhere that helps tune and setup. Most of those charge by the hour I believe.
Sounds as if you have liked your build. For now I want to stay N/A though.

I have a ported throttle body with the CAI. Honestly, I didn't notice much difference from those until I got a tune. I bought the HPTuners suite and email tune from FSP. When I went to the nitrous, I had it dyno tuned.

Jantzen really like your build.
Smithnc can't wait to see your results. I think you and Jantzen should race the two when you get done. Maybe a neutral spot like Kansas. Would love to see the two twins go at it.
