I agree he didn't handle it well at all and shouldn't be in that position. Building rapport with people will get them back in the door for sure.

The finance guys are trained to be a little pushy about selling there products. When buying a new car I always say "no Thank you" but sir this is what you need "no thank you" and this is what it can do for you "no thank you". If you try to explain why you know someone who can do it for you, like a mechanic etc. Then it opens the door for him to explain to you why it's a benifit to you to use his product. Again, if you say "No thank you" and he continues then you put your foot down and say no I don't want that product. In fact he can talk untill he's blue in the face and I'll be silent through it but it's still gonna be NO. Dont let them try to think they may be able to sway you or there gonna keep trying

I think he was wrong but I think you opened the door.

We can't start blaming the victim here...all the man wanted to do was buy a car from a dealership that sells cars from a company that declared bankruptcy a few months ago...

and all they did was remind him of how they got into that mess in the first place....piss poor customer service!

I had that guys brother here in Dallas. SOB tried to sell me a maintenance program that covered oil changes and tire rotation. He tried to get me to do the math and told me that the tire rotations would be free on every other oil change. This a$$h@!e didn't know that the front and rears on my Camaro are different sizes and can't be rotated.

I'm with the guy that started this thread. The bottom feeders in dealerships aren't on the sales floor anymore...they're in the finance/insurance office.

I don't see where exactly you scared him?

He's a salesman, at a car dealership, did you expect him to NOT try to sell you extra stuff on your car? That's what they do, get over it. Tell them no, don't buy anything you don't want, and walk away. Congratulations on acting like a huge douche and then bragging about it on the internet, you sure got him good.

Hey Uncleidiot, Thats exactly what I did, told him no, WITH a smile on my face, and thats when he decided to talk down to me, and I would have kept the smile on my face if he had not made that decision. After leaving his office I even thanked him and told him to have a good day, AFTER he disrespected me!

I guess you lack reading comprehension since you could not see that through my posts.

Thank You

Funny how some of the people here are accusing me of being the cause, yet when management found out about what happened they could NOT believe the way I was treated.
