Can you point those rules to me? I'll follow them if there is any. These are all mostly opinions and you obviously have a strong passion for the Z/28. That's great. It was built for people like you. But for many of us, it isn't the car for them and these prices dropping on the left overs will most certainly stir up conversation as to why if not prove some valid observations. I don't ever need to drive one to know it isn't the car for me. There is enough information out there for me to see I don't want what it offers. That doesn't mean I think it's a bad car. Just enjoy your and don't get upset that not everyone's opinion is not in line with yours.
I couldn't care less what you or anyone thinks of a car I own. There's to much of that on internet car forums. What I don't care for is the need for some people (ZL1 owners) to try and convince people (Z28 owners) that the car they have is the better car for whatever reason, while posting in a Z/28 section. It just makes zero sense to me. If the thread is in the ZL1 section, then fine, stay there and talk down the Z/28 all you want. It just doesn't make sense to do it in this section. Get it?

All we see is ZL1 guys telling everyone why they think their car is better and the Z/28 isn't worth the money blah blah blah. Yet I guarantee none of them besides Urbanlegend has ever driven one.
Well I come in because I know some owners and I love the track. I like to see some of the builds and love the car. I bought my ZL1 before the Z/28 came out and it is now a keeper for me. There ars other members here who own and enjoy both.

I come in here because of the talk about fluids, tires, set up's, track day experiences. I come in here because I like bad ass cars.

I think I can speak for everyone on this forum and say everyone is welcome in every forum. No need to justify your presence here.

The issue that many of us have is the vocal minority that finds it necessary to post in the Z/28 section about how expensive the brakes are, how harsh the ride is, how it doesn't have mylink/nav, etc.

Guess what - we all know that. If those things are issues to you (not you NorCal, just people in general), take it somewhere else. We don't care and you are not going to change our opinions.

If you know that and post it up anyway, you are the definition of a troll...

No one ask you to care. You shouldn't care what anyone thinks of your car. I certainly never do about any of my cars. I also don't see anyone trying to convince Z28 owners that their cars are less than their own. That is is your head. The talk is about why prices are dropping in the car. Not running the car down. Most of my friends are MOPAR guys. They talk crap about my car all the time. You don't have to read every thread just because it's in the Z28 section. I certainly don't read all the ZL1 threads. I love the Z/28. I'm glad GM had the balls to build it. It just isn't for me. This tread is just asking a simple question. I'm assuming that if the same thread was started by a Z/28 owner that you would have been okay with it.
If it makes you happy, you have the best Camaro. I'll concede that.

Do you know what one of the single coolest things is about being on this site and hearing from other (actual) Z/28 owners? A true honest love for the car. Cheap trim, great engine, a historical relevance to the 60's aluminum 302 AND an across the board lack of caring for the radio. That's right a continuous stream of comments for not giving 2 licks about the sound system. My Denali has an awesome audio system. I still struggle to turn on the one in the Z/28...I just don't care, the engine is music to my ears.

I don't care how much someone wants to poke fun at spending 58.5 on my new Z/28 over a 22K base model, I know I got a deal! I don't care that some prefer nav systems, automatics and fog lights, it's not what I wanted. So please stop bickering, there is no right or wrong here. And you are on the Z/28 threads...we love our cars...all 1300 owners of us (so far).

Instead, let's figure out how to set up get togethers and events so we can swap stories?

Great post!

Cool The honeymoon phase has begun!

All I can say after 72 hours of Z/28 ownership is, where have you been all my life?

This car is unreal. I mean, I really can't describe it any better than has been said on this forum. After having owned a ZL1 for the past two years, I can say I loved that car as well. And before that, I owned a '11 SS convertible. Before that, I was into 1st Gens exclusively. They are all great cars, but this Z/28 has rocked my world. There are only 6 days left to pick one up with this 15% off GM rebate. The number of available NEW Z/28's is dwindling. Pretty soon, all that will be left are used cars.

I don't care what you paid for your Z/28 or when you bought it. It was worth it. So if you can't swing it to make the purchase before Nov. 2, then pay what you have to pay--but get one of these cars before they're gone!

Wow. Just wow.

Dan,
Since you have owned an SS, a ZL1 and now a Z/28, it would be good to hear your evaluation on the pros and cons of each Gen 5.

Definitely! I think all sports cars should start out as "bare essentials" and it costs the customer for every "add on" or customizable option. I wish it would still be that way. Those bells and whistles are are just illusions. But that's reality these days. It's more about what your car CAN do which has nothing to do with the track. To me there should be a line drawn on performance. American performance. You want bells and whistles AND performance? Buy a vette or go euro. Otherwise you're buying performance and reliability.
