Now for the big question, once the engine's done . running, and dyno'd, how much improvement do you think can be attributed to the massive porting efforts?
Just curious, that's a LOT of metal that you seemed to have removed.

This is a very popular mod in the CTSV forum porting supercharger snout and NW102 throttle body with good results around 50-60 RWHP so somewhere around that. As for power gains I will not know for sure because I am doing cam swap and ported the heads at the same time. I know that the cam I installed gives are cars a around 50 RWHP and maybe 25 RWHP for the heads. So if my new #s will tell if my efforts are worth all the work. And I will be making 125+RWHP on lower boost making my package more efficient

Dude, sounds like a beast, I'm sure you're loving it and can't wait to get on the dyno.

Sorry guys been very busy have not got down to Ted for my dyno tune and #s yet but got some miles on her before the snow and cold set in up here in mass. Now that the roads up here are covered in sand rocks and salt I will be flat beding her down now. Can't wait till spring to get #s to impatient so I am hoping this month to get down there. Will let you guys know when and results of Dyno session. From the feel of her after driving a couple hundred miles after mods she feels real strong and kept RPMs under 3000 so I am expecting good #s

Hey Mike I noticed you weighed the blower before you ported it, what did it weigh after you ported it? Or did you forget to reweigh it.

Yes took out 7.2 pounds out of the blower and snout plus .8 out of lid and 1 pound out of each head so around ten pounds of the top of motor total pretty good #s. These blowers are very restrictive unported could have been designed a lot better. I see why people are having heat soak issues in racing road and track factory and over spinning these blowers unported will just increase these IAT tenps. The limited driving I have done on the new mods about 200 miles is night and day compared to before porting and the sound is insane. Throttle response is instant and boost is instant as well took it easy on my ride keeping RPMs under 3000 most of the ride and 4000 a couple of times to break in new valve train and my tune is not dialed in for all the porting I have done so could not push her but I am sure she is going to be a beast on the Dyno. Keep you guys posted.

Yes I believe that Jeremy at faster proms takes out close to that but I am a perfectionist so my attention to details is higher than most. I have see some hack port jobs on the CTSV forums. The porters claim that pretty don't make power but I don't believe that. They just don't want to take the time to finish the job right. Smoother will flow better than rough any day.
