I don't think a trim option has to be a pure "special edition" though. I hope it's in more than black. This new Camaro really seems to be something for everybody. There's people that will paint flames on them. Personally i'm more subdued in my taste. And if they can cater to everyone, so much the better. At least GM has fewer coupes than they did a decade ago.
As for the CTS coupe...the idea was better than the execution, imo.

European and Camaro should never be used in the same sentence

Like how the Camaro has been track tested during development on a European track (nurburgring) or uses brakes developed by a company located in Europe (Brembo from Italy)?

I appreciate the North American heritage of the Camaro, but c'mon now... automotive manufacturing is an international affair at this point. The Camaro can still retain its North American/American image while smartly borrowing the best of concepts and ideas from European car manufacturers.

Tran,
Great words and great points...and thanks for discussing what I've been thinking too...if special editions sell...then sell them!

If you ask me, I really think Lutz is refering to the new "Knight Rider" special edition Camaro! Sounds about right? Lets see .... only Black on the outside and beige european leather interior!! ... YEP, that about sums up the NEW KNIGHT RIDER EDITION doesn't it!

Either way, I hope for heaven's sake it offers more bang for the buck than the $1,000 "Transformers" decals and plastic emblems you get when you opt for the "Bumblebee Edition"

Personally, I'm hoping that if there is to be another Camaro added to the list, than the ONLY name it should bare is that of the Z/28 and nothing else ! IMO

Wasn't the HALO's offered on the RS packages supposed to be the "European Look" for the Camaros?

I for one, think the interior should be more up-scale. I have been generally disappointed with the fact that there isn't an on-screen display offering all the computer bells and whistles that are standard in so many other cars (GM, Ford, foreign, etc.... The tiny DIC is stupid in my opinion. All of the DIC features should be laid out where the radio is.

If this is what is included, it would make me regret getting my 2SS now. I'm just glad I'm getting the parking assist feature (never had it, never used it, but I want it.) Just like the HUD, I know when this comes out, I'll want that just as bad, but won't be able to retrofit it to my car. Again, never had it, never used it, but want it.

I personally like the center gauge DIC feature! Unlike the HUD this is more of a HDD ( Heads Down Display ) but never the less I find the information quite useful at a glance. I'm not into the center dash navigation units as I find I would always be glancing over just to see what it says and going 60 mph that wouldn't be a great thing to do very often, but if you really want it, than at least make it an option for those who do!

Put your own trim on. Many dealers on here offer stainless trim. Mine is from EmblemPros.
