Well I just watch Smokey and the Bandit not long ago....I havnt watched it in years. You really appreciate the talent and the way the movies were shot back then. And the one liners are priceless.

Those were car stunts done by real stuntmen. You just don't see that anymore.
It's about the car and centers around the car, Disgruntled Korean War veteran Walt Kowalski sets out to reform his neighbor, a Hmong teenager who tried to steal Kowalski's prized possession: a 1972 Gran Torino.

It's ironic as well, his last name. He ends up leaving his prized possession to the kid... the title of the movie is the car.

Don't forget The Seven Ups, the French Connection, The Italian Job (both, I guess... the original was the best w/ Benny Hill), To Live And Die In LA, Dirty Larry and Crazy Larry, Freebie and the Bean... and if you're going to include Smokey, then include White Lightning, Grand Theft Auto, and Gumball Rally.

Regardless of the fact that it took 40 years.

My favorite car movie of all time is Two-Lane Blacktop which stars James Taylor, and is all about a '55 Chevy. Probably the best Chevy movie and our version of Bullitt if you ask me. No camaro though.
Great flick! Warren Oates drives the stock GTO and thinks he's a bad ass. Keeps blowing by Taylor on the highway and Taylor won't give him the time of day, just ignores him.
