Because I had three fastback Stangs. One 1967 and two 1968s. The 67 had a 390 with 325 or 345 HP and a four speed. I could git on the highway and boil the tires leaving.
Had all kind of cars before and after. Then they came out with the 2005 Mustang.
Damn I wanted one bad. But by then I was full blown Bowtie.
Two Camaros, two Monte Carlos,S10 Tahoe, three Suburbans and some other stuff.
Then they came out with the 2010 Camaro. I couldn't stand it.
I didn't get the 10 but I got one in 13.
I had to have it.

First transformers movie -- said 'Wow a Camaro!'. Hotter than Megan Fox too -- and -- they didn't have a Pontiac Trans Am ;o)

Damn right! But hey I love to tell my story anyways

When my father was growing up he had a 67 goat. Mother has a 70 something Trans Am. Seemed fitting for my first car to be a Camaro. First got a 10 RS in the dark blue. Got it used, putting the 10K mile on while test driving. Picked it up the day I graduated High School. Two years later GM had thier 20% off on camaros around new year. Ended up getting almost as much for the 10 when we purchased it. After trade in we paid 16K for the 15 SS. Mom went back and bought the 10 for less than they gave us. Now we have two Blue and Dewy. From the time I saw the first transformers movie, my father and I said we'd own one of the Gen 5's one day. Now we have 2. The good Lord was looking down on us and I thank Him for that!

1) They don't make Firebirds

2) The 5th Gen Camaro is an instant classic. It was designed by a true artist and kept all the heritage that the 1st Gen gave birth to.

3) The community... before buying my Camaro in '09, I visited the camaro5 forums and found one of the best communities on the internet. I may not go to many car shows or even interact with fellow members, but this is a place I come if I need comfort from people that have the same love as I do. (maybe I should make this #1)

I bought it because of the style it has (5th Gen), the power, and the positive reviews. I DID NOT buy it because I wanted to flaunt it to my friends and neighbors, ALTHOUGH some of my clown friends believe that. I had one friend's wife say out loud to another friend's wife right in front of me, " I hope your husband doesn't get the itch for a Camaro." Like it was something bad or evil. I could understand if I was doing cocaine, cheating on my wife, etc. But I got placed into the same category as doing something "bad" because I was now a threat to entice their husbands into a similar purchase. Idiots!

Love V8 American muscle. The IROC 3rd gen i was around as a child made me interested in Camaros. Went thru a bunch of imports then i saw the concept 5th gen in person and was determined to get one. My cousin bought a 12 2SS and after 1 test drive i tried to buy it from her.... she refused so a couple a trucks later wife finally caves on a coupe so here we are. The front end of the Z/28 is what attracted me to the refresh but i give the 10-13 props for that ass!

My first car was a 1967 camaro. It was a beauty. I bought a beater 1984 Berlinetta camaro to drive to school in college and the 67 stayed in the garage and was droven for fun. When I finished grad school about 6 years later my wife talked me into selling the 67. Huge mistake I still regret. I bought a 91 Z28 convertible about 5 years later. It was a fun car, but didn’t do it for me. Sold it and bought a 94 corvette w/28k miles. It was a beut and fun to drive. Eventually sold it. Been wanting to get back on another vehicle. Found my 13 earlier this year. Have been wanting a 5th gen since before they were released. Love the way the design is a modern take on the 1st gen.
I have always loved the Camaro. I could never buy another muscle car.

OK... I'm old, however, since you asked...
In the Navy in October of 1968, went home on leave and bought a 1969 Roadrunner. 383 4-Sp, Silver, black vinyl top (cool back in the day), factory mags with red line goodyears. Sharp looking, ran good.
Took it back to homeport of Long Beach with me only to see that my buddy had bought a 1969 SS-396 Camaro convertible. I was pretty impressed and envious. Fast Forward to the mid 80's and another friend bought an IROC-Z. Beautiful car to say the least.
FF again to 2014 when I had to give up my perfect retirement life in AZ to move back to Nebraska due to family issues. Sold the house in AZ and took some of the money and got myself a 'consolation gift' :-) Wish I could have swung a ZL-1, but am very happy with my 2SS. Plan on keeping it until I can't drive anymore!
