You are totally right I guess. I'm in some disappoinment phase. I should quit posting until I have a final decision with all elements to decide.

But that's hard to keep that for myself. I'm in france, why I talk about Camaros here, people think "Camaro" is the manufacturer's name and that it's some kinda underground italo-spanish new brand ...

Here is a slight history lesson as I understood as I was growing up.
RS, SS, and Z-28 are all Packages designed for specific purposes.
In the beginning, the RS was an package for style, SS was a high performance package designed for the Muscle car era (Drag Racer), and Z-28 was an all out road racer, basically to race in the Trans-Am Series. Somehow over the years the designations blended and the SS and Z-28 kind of took on the same purpose, so the SS was dropped for a while. But the last Generation SS Camaro was supposed to be the Ultimate Camaro, over and above the Z-28.

I have a comeback for that but I do not want to cause an international incident.

Ouch! They don't do that before going to bed but I did hear that they roll-over frequently in bed.....

Yes, the 1st gen camaros - the SS had a 350 or 396 and the Z28 had a 302. The SS was the Balls to The Wall racer, while the Z28 was designed for road racing.

Go buy a GT if you have to... the Mustang is an icon too
Yup, in a society (speaking of the USA) of gimme gimme gimme, some forget to be grateful, I agree with your post entirely Scotchsride09.. EXCEPT the go buy a Mustang... instead. I rather drive a box of lint.

Yeah, I'd rather drive a box of lint too, personally... I was trying to show some respect for people who do appreciate them because I can understand; the passion I feel for the Camaro is felt by some for the Mustang, and that if they can't get what they want in a Camaro then a Mustang might be a better option for them right now because the new gen there is more established. But that's for everyone else to decide for themselves... I've made my decision

And I certainly hope everyone on here who wants a Camaro gets one, and doesn't give up on them right away because it might not be what they want at first.

Not to ask a stupid question and I'm CERTAINLY not trying to be inflammatory but... what happened with the interview with Cheryl? I read in another thread it was misinterpreted and "cleared up" that a Z28 was coming out after all? Can someone explain? I appear to have missed that...

I can't find the actual response you are talking about, however, pretty much the interviewer didn't ask if there was going to be a Z28 period, more like if there was going to be one at launch, to which she answered "no." It was only her answer that was posted and the rest of the content was removed. 'Father has said it's still not dead, but no one will comment on it yet. Basically, it's safe to say you won't find one this time next year, but that's not to say there won't be one down the road
