Chevy picked silver for the concept car, was that boring? Chevy picked silver for almost all the print ads and TV is that boring?

Silver reveals the body lines the best, every line stands out, it shows off every detail of the design.

Plus it hides the dirty really well

I almost got silver. Silver looks good. Get what color you want, dont listen to her. Unless she's paying for it. When you get your car she's going to creme on herself.

Whats so hard to understand about that. Get off the Camaro looks good in any color as argument for silver not being boring.

The bold print proves my point as being boring and safe, you say so yourself. I like all my performance cars to be bright and no I'm not a teen. I just like color, thats the gift of not being colorblind. I guess if I was colorblind silver would look good because that would appear bright.

Don't get me wrong I think it looks great on this car also, but its still a boring color.
Go back and read my original comment again. It was not in bold type. Just your copy of my quote is so you must have edited my quote. Nowhere did I mention "safe", you did. If I wanted "safe" I would not be a motorcyclist. What I specifically said was that I wanted a color that I would not get sick of looking at. When I spent MY $33,000.00, I did not give a f$%k what color any one else might like. It is my car, not yours. I did not buy my SS for the purpose of "popping" whatever that may be, I bought it to drive fast and to occasionally bring to the drag strip. If another color would have "popped" another 50 horses under the hood, I would have gotten it. A policeman doesn't care what color your car is if you are speeding, he cares how fast you are going. To think that a cop gives tickets based on the car's color is foolish. My 87 V-8 Camaro was GM bright red, I had it until I bought my 1998 Z-28. I drove it fast and never got stopped. my 98 Z-28 was black, my 2002 SS was pewter, my 2010 SS is silver ice metalic and my Harley is blue suede pearl. Where is the boredom? With you're "popping" theory, a six cylinder LT is probably less boring than a V-8 SS.

I think Silver as a color is boring. But that is my opinion, and everyone is entitled to their opinion. and I respect those that choose silver over any other color. I have had silver cars and to me they just blend in to the background...

The Camaro is never boring, it makes up for the boring character of silver..
The Camaro is a wonderful car, V6 or V8 neither are boring. You can't go wrong with any choice choice of color, it's your choice to your tastes......

Well I can tell you that I know a Camaro club buddy who used to have a silver (Light Pewter Metallic actually) 2001 SS. Before that he had a '96-'97 black Z-28. He's said on more that one occasion he really misses that 2001 because of how relatively clean it looked even when it was filthy from driving in rain and crap for days. He's a pretty meticulous guy and said the black one would look dirty/dusty hours after he'd washed it even if he'd barely driven it.

BTW, your stripes look awesome ddunerider. BEAUTIFUL ride!!!!!

Silver is a Classic Muscle Car color that never gets dated. Plus, If it was your first choice you will regret not sticking with it.
I reckon you're 100% SPOT-ON! My first choice was the SIM then after my sister n mum suggested that the CGM was much more attractive and so forth... So I changed my order to Cyber Grey as I was also convinced, and its arrival is tomorrow hopefully, so its late for me to change back to SILVER ICE..

SILVER ICE and CYBER GREY are my top 2 choices no doubt! But I really hope CGM will not be a disappointment and makes me kick myself for not getting the SIM.

I think it is awesome with black stripes. It was my pick because I bought it to drive. If I had bought one to store away for sunny days, I probably would have gotten black, imperial blue metallic or red jewel tint.

The clean when dirty look is exactly what started me buying the silver cars. A guy that I worked with had a Chevy truck that I always thought looked spotless when I had my black 98 Z-28. I asked him how often he washed it and he laughed and said that it wasn't clean and that the silver always looked clean. So, when I ordered my 2002 SS I went with the pewter. I was torn between the pewter and the GM bright red like my 87 was. This time I considered the IOM versus the SIM. I went with the SIM for the same reason; the clean look.

I wanted to go with CGM, but ended up going with SIM because I live on a dirt road and didn't want to clean the damn car all the time. I have a black dually and it is a pain to keep clean!!!

I think the SIM is a sexy color, but I'm not sure I like my stipes as of yet.

I'll tell you one thing, you can't see the dirt on the IOM color either. I have people always say do you ever let your car get dirty and then I laugh and wipe a bunch of dirt how and say its dirty now. It hides just as well as my silver car. But yeah silver does hide dirt well.
