Car preformed flawlessly during the test. Was even 1 sec faster than the Pontiac last year......

I'm bummed that the Camaro GS KNOI Challenge cars you guys have dont look like the GS Concept. The GS Concept look killer!

I have followed the two series for a while now. I've only had the Corvettes to root for in the 24, now I get to cheer the GT class as well (I was never a big Pontiac fan, no offense intended). Be sure all the teams know that there will be at least one person out here watching all 24 hours of their race. I watch Speed TV until they cut off, then I watch the on-line streaming coverage until Speed comes back on in the morning

Well at least you were pulling for one of our cars last year.....We ran our Crawford Corvette in the 24 last year (97 car) along with our 57 Pontiac. Our two Camaro's will be the only two in GT as of right now.

carsismeZ06, our car is as close as the rules will allow. We have a 3 1/2 ride height min and we are pretty close to that right now. As close as we can be and still have the Drive axles survive. Still testing and making changes as G-Am will allow.

full of days, We do not have a chassis dyno in house as of yet. Something we a looking into, but nothing def yet. But come on down, look around. Usually you could meet the guys, but we are in a huge trash to get the cars ready, so you may have to settle for just watching for a little bit. We usually have quite a few items in stock for the Camaro's, but right now its been hard to keep that stuff on the shelves. But we do get more in every day.

As of today, we will be recieving our 57 car from P&M in the same shape the 97 was. It has to be completed in time for the January test, as well as our Number 9 GS car. Do not have a def date for it to arrive, but it looks like we will have one whole week to assemble it. It is being delivered in boxes for us to completely assemble. Its all good though. We have a great group of people on the team, we should be able to make the dead lines.

Quick update....for you Rolex guys out there anyway.
The Number 57 and 97 cars are coming together. I will try to get a few shot of them as they are putting them together with body work painted.
The GS 6 and 9 cars are coming along well also. The 6 car is close to finished and the 9 car is about 50% done. Keep in mind fokes, all of these have to be done by the 5th so they can be loaded and head out for the Roar Before the 24 in Daytona.
If you are in the area, stop by the shop, you can catch a peek of the cars going together.
Stop my the pits if you get a chance to make it to the test and say hey.

Update with pics

Things are coming along. It's tough trying to put 4 cars together over the Christmas Holidays due to the fact that every one shuts down the last week of the year. That means you can not get any parts hardly. Its always the small things that causes problems, lol.
Here are a few pics of the GT cars.

... here is hoping that all goes smoothly (I know, but you can hope, right?). The cars are looking great... and it's going to be a real thrill to see the Sunoco Camaro back on a race track !! Wishing you safe racing and success in 2010 !! (hopefully, I'll be able to see the cars in person at Lime Rock !!).

If all goes well we are hoping to have all the cars on the scales and ready to be loaded Tuesday.
The 97 GT car preformed well at the tire test in Dec. The Sonoco Camaro still has some bugs to be worked out and some testing to do, but I believe it will do ok for its debut back into racing.

Sorry, I did not get any more pics of the cars uploaded yet. Really busy getting them ready. All 4 cars were loaded last night and went on their way. Rig parking and garage setup today, then testing tomorrow, Sat and Sunday.
