I don’t really understand why people feel like they need “bash” others based on their opinion. Only he knows how he feels about his car and if it worries him then that has nothing to do with you. If you don’t have an idea on what could cause it or how to fix it or just something positive to say then don’t comment, hit the back button and go on to the next post.

Update... no drive this weekend, just oil change. But I have made ANOTHER appointment for this Thursday at our fleet service center (Fleet Mechanic that services all our pick-ups and owner personal cars). These guys I'm fairly sure will figure out what's wrong and will have my car back one way or another within 1 day.... I hope lol

Funny thing, I keep getting texts from the service tech at Riverside Chevy for a survey. I don't think this guy wants to know what I have to say about them.......

Do you have a coworker that you can swap wheels and tires with? That right there would tell you if it's the new tires or not.

Good thinking... I may have one shot at this, but the individual that owns a 2011 stock L99 no longer drives it to work since they bought a small suv. I know for a fact she's keeping the Camaro forever as her Dad (may he rest in peace) picked it out for her and she's mentioned in the past how her car's a keeper because of this. I know she still has it.

However, we're not that close to where I can ask her to bring it in for me to try this, so I don't believe this is a firm option. Doesn't hurt to ask I guess...

Not driving it again until Thursday when I have a 730am 'appointment' with Connie & Dick's so I might as well wait for that at this point. If still no dice on what this issue is, then I will ask her to bring it in.

Thanks for the outside-the-box thought.

When the tires are cold, the steering wheel shakes in my hands at 40+mph, but only when I am going straight. Any kind of turning, and the shaking goes away, only to return when the car is straight again. Doesn't seem to be any more pronounced whether I'm braking, accelerating, decelerating, or coasting.

As the tires/car warm up, the shaking goes away. I don't notice any shaking in the summer months, here in NC.

My tires are 315/30R20 and 275/40R20 (Lexani LX Thirty).

I can't 'live' with this bro... at least one time, the traction control lights all came on... I'm sure errors due the amount of shaking going on.

There are some of us that try and keep our cars in as perfect working condition as possible. Not only that, but a shaking issue can be the start of many other issues, such as new NVH issues in interior panels, causing other suspension and steering/alignment issues to occur or worsen, throwing lights, or generally causing your once super tight ride to turn into a sloppy rattling mess. Every time I would drive my car I would get that nagging feeling that something is not right and that ignoring it will only make things worse.

I wouldn't live with it either.

Car was dropped off at Connie and Dick's at 730am this morning. The Tech there was asking the right questions... I told him all and added what I've done to it and info about the attempted repairs. Told him to test drive it in the morning so he can feel the shake.

The guy was very attentive and they scheduled techs around my car's issue to be onsite today - so they are going to get right on it.

Told him maybe Hub ring, wheel bearing, wheel/tire, caliper possibly, steering column... told them about the supposed 'tire swap' the dealer initiated and still could not find the issue.

1045 local time yet and no verdict yet... more to come.

Hopefully, they will be able to figure it out. I'm betting that the Chevy dealer didn't actually swap the tires when they were diagnosing it though.

Thanks mikeman... hopefully they did have a chance to drive it this morning or they're going to run into the same issue the dealer did with it getting 'fixed' by itself lol

Still haven't heard back... just being patient with them and will check in on them in a few hours if no call back.

I didn't go back and read all this thread like I normally do before commenting, so excuse me if it's been done already.
I have to fix a person's car who is not easy on the brakes and or stupid cali norm of coming to a full stop on the highway suddenly. Warping the front rotors.
A quick trip to O'Reilys auto for a $18 per rotor turn machining takes that "tire vibration" right out. A "tech" might look at them and say they are not grooved so they are "fine". For the $ I'd pull them and DIY to eliminate that possibility.

It happened often enough and I let it go too long and ruined the wheel bearings which I then had to replace also. In my experience those make a growl at 40-60mph and not a vibration...

My 2018 V6 was having torque converter chatter. I scheduled a Dealership appt to drop off the car the day I left for a 10-day vacation. Upon return, I was told they never touched it, so I had to (pointlessly) wait another day to get my car back.
All they had to do was a transmission flush and switch it to synthetic.

Yup, had a feeling that would be it. Rubber bits in most GM cars of this era will fall apart like that.
The bad control arm bushings allow improper movement during acceleration, deceleration and turning, so the shaking will come and go.
My advice would be aftermarket replacements.
