I have been watching for a Z a little heavier for a couple weeks now. The prices have certainly stabilized and even have gone up. It is hard to find a car with under 10,000 miles anywhere under $55,000 it seems. Anything in the mid $40,s seems to have 20, 30 or 40k miles or more.
There are a few good options for under 50k out there.

A serious steal right here it seems (43.5k, but saw it listed lower before...this owner must *really* want to sell): https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...ngId=561965504

Not sure if looking to pay cash or get a loan, but I discovered suntrust and used them to buy my current Z/28. Basically, they loan you the money, but do NOT go on the title as a lienholder. As a result, you get the title in your name only, so if anything comes up that forces you to sell, no lienholder bs to deal with

Somewhere in between the two prices would be reasonable.

\It may be for sale again in 6 months when the buyer figures out what is wrong with it. But the lesson to be learned is from a Charles Darwin observation..."He who hesitates....is lunch."

So your saying it’s being purchased, sold, purchased, etc. for having non stock exhaust or is there more to it?

There’s probably nothing wrong with the car if it’s got a clean CarFax. There would nothing more to it. Looks to me like a regular dealer looked at Manheim Market or other book value and gave the seller $35k for it. Another dealer saw it and understood the recent market demand and scooped it up for wholesale money, sent it to TX and marked it up.

Same thing happened to car locally a month or so ago. Seller sold at ~$44k with <5k miles original owner. Dealer scooped it up and it went to ME or NH and had a price tag of $51 or $52k. Couldn’t find the dealer listing a week or two later.

The dealer in NC that had it listed for 39.9 was offering it CPO, so it couldn’t have been terrible. I asked about modifications and he couldn’t answer. I asked why it was listed below market and he didn’t come up with anything before i said something like “ get it in and get it out” and he said exactly. Who knows, maybe a gem of a deal.
