As you can see in these last pictures. there is alot of work that goes into painting a car a different color. Many pieces removed, taping and other prep. that is why it cost so much. Painting is the easy part --- reassemble and buffing is the work. I can't imagine a job for less than $10,000 if you want a car that has no signs of its previous color.

From one shop owner to the next, you guys did a fantastic job in replicating the Bumble Bee look. You also have a really nice looking shop.

Congrats

1 Do you think there would be buyers?
Yeah I think so if you can do like a country wide shipping or something.. otherwise if its local and several people get it then they will be discouraged to get the same.

2 Do you think it would be a good attention getter at shows?
Yeah it would be just as long as 20 other BB's dont show up also.!

3 How much do you think the paint job should cost?
Im Thinking this would depend on what brand paint you are goin to use and if it would be just the paint or if it will come with like the actual autobot emblems painted on it or something.

the package Gm is offering isnt't really all that considering it looks the same as a yellow camaro with the black stripes & it just comes with the logos in the center console for the interior the sides and rims for the exterior. but you can get those with they guy Arizona bumblebee got his from.. so no big deal.
Gm is chargin 995 for basically the Autobot Logos on the center console cover the sides and rims.

other than that i'd say you could prob charge somewheres around 3000-6000 depending on how custom and unique the whole thing is.

The Yellow/Orange is actually a dark yellow/Gold mix called Sunrise (PBC 30) from Valspar's Shimrin line. Sold by House of Kolor. It is a pearl/kandy color

White, yellow or orange for me. NO DARK COLORS.

basecoat

Hi All, i have been reading all your reply's and unless i missed it no one mentions the base coat colour, H O K recommend white, is this the base they used on the bumblebee or did they use a tinted base coat to give it a punch. I am very impressed with the colour, i know i am some years behind but maybe more information has now come to light.
