I must say with the help of Blue and Mtcwby's tutorial I was able to install the Pfadt diff bushings on a lift in 3hrs. I'm sure it would have taken me a great deal more time without there help. The cincy speed tool works as advertized.

After I installed the bushings I also installed the Pfadt front / rear sways and engine mounts. What a difference this makes, feels like a different car.

Pfadt coil overs are on order and I can hardly wait to install them.

Per post #59, I think "RS-2SS" in Albuquerque got the tool then sold it to "BUMBLEB" in Denver. I would try a PM to BUMBLEB or buy another from Cincy speed and line up a buyer for yours.

Just wanted to thank Blue70SS for his posts and pictures. Before I started my install I searched and found this thread. It was a great help.

The GM service manual gets you to a step that states:
“Using the appropriate tool, separate the wheel drive shaft from the knuckle. Remove the knuckle assembly”

Knowing that the drive shaft can be pulled out by only removing the toe in strut bolt, the top knuckle bolt and removing the ABS line from the toe in strut was a real time saver.

Also in the GM Service manual it states to NOT re-use the wheel drive shaft nuts, the inner drive shaft washers and the propeller shaft bolts (OK, I couldn’t find any propeller and thinking there was an amphibi car option I missed, I got distracted for a moment

). For us older folks we call it a drive shaft. Not sure why they emphatically state to not reuse them, but I’m no metallurgist. So I ordered them from the dealer, $45 plus tax. I’m betting it’s a bean counter and lawyer driven statement.

I took the diff to J&S Gears in Huntington Bach CA to install the gears and press off the bushings (did the Pfadt bushing too). He only charged me $25 to remove the bushings, but said he’d never do that again

It was interesting too to see all the number on the original pinion gear too.

So thanks again to Blue70SS for the DIY install help.

Glad it helped someone! Nice to have all that done isn't it.

FYI, top speed shops including Lingenfelter and 2 local top tier GM service departments don't replace the drive shaft bolts - they say GM says that on alot of things. (I had brought it to their attention from factory manuals too).

Just had mine ripped apart again for LPE 3.70 gears, Jannetty Posi clutch fix kit, Twin Lingenfelter fuel pumps, and higher 1400 HP rated CVs. But done at Chevy dealer on lift.... wish I had one.

Glad I did mine before I read this thread, I would have abandoned the project. I did mine with the diff in the car and no special tools. Fours to drill out and remove stock bushings.

Glad you brought this thread back to life I have a diff I need to do also and this tool would be awesome to have!!!
My diff is sitting on the bench though.

Good question..... last I heard a few months ago, Cincy Speed shutdown and he went to work for Brian Tooley Racing in Kentucky.
