I should be picking up my car something this week, but these are my numbers:

MSRP: $34,053.68
Deposit: $1,000.00
GM Card Earnings: $2,079.46
Down Payment: $974.22
Finance Amount: $30,000.00
APR: 3.84%
Term: 72 Months (6 Years)
Monthly Payment: $467.17
Insurance: $84.97 / Month

(What kills me about insurance was that I was quoted $70.00 before I ordered the car. But the price went up, and when I asked why, I was told that recent average accidents for 2010 Camaro's brought the premiums up. Please drive safe out there everyone.)

That could be Monopoly money and it would probably still come close to being worth enough to buy a Camaro.

Put 25K down on a $38K car added in extended warranty and had them roll the taxes into payment $300 a month for 60 months.

I know you're anxious to buy your car. but if you do have any kind of "open" accounts, such as credit cards, even a secured credit card, if for any reason you can pay them off completely or have a very low balance, and wait for that new balance to get reported to the credit bureau, your score probably will skyrocket higher. you might be surprised. it may shoot up 50 points or even 100 more.

but regardless, later on, after you get your car, if you work on getting your score higher, you can refinance everything at a lower rate. you probably already know all this but i thought i would mention it. whoever gives you a loan might also require you to get gap insurance, which probably isn't a bad thing.
