1. In the 4th picture, look at the size of the disc brake rotors. The front rotors should be larger than the rear, but it almost looks like the rears are larger. Is this an illusion?
no the rear brakes are 14.4 and the front are 14 you saw correct.

The photos were likely taken in a similar studio as this one of the concept and a '69. Basically, cars are in what looks like a giant light box with multiple lighting sources to bring out highlights (fenders, lines) and fill shadow areas (tires, grilles).

Ehhh, but enough about the photos themselves....just bask in the glory of the rebirth of an American icon.
Silver is a very difficult color to shoot without having hot spots, but certainly not impossible. Without those, however, much of the shape of the car would be lost. They could easily have been eliminated or toned down with PS, but the shape of the car would be less dynamic.

All the ones with those type of license plates are renders. I mean it does not even have screws and the shadow is the wrong angle. The tag on the plates is fake. These must be high quality renders from the design department.

Same as the red and yellow cars. Nowdays the car is built in 3d and there is a wireframe that you can skin and assign materials too.

Files are exported to parts suppliers and production staff etc.

How about those non-RS taillights? Does anyone see the slight difference in color between these and the red RS ones?

I think the difference will be so slight, that it won't matter at all. I can barely detect anything in those pics. Glad the extra cost RS package is something I don't want!

Nope. You want the halos, you have to get the RS package.

2. In the 5th picture, look at how the rear wheels / tires are flush with the outside of the fender. They look good like this, but they also look like they'll rub. Seems like further evidence of some retouching.

good eye, i noticed the same thing, there's a new thread with an actual ss & the wheels are tucked in more than these pictures show!

I'm kinda glad that the production tail lights are not as nice as the concepts because I wont feel so bad for blacking them out with the bumblebee paint job. I think that sunrise yellow has a good contrast with the black paint and some darker rims.

Don't get me wrong though, I do like the tail lights but if they were the concept's I would never black those out. The concept's looks too high quality to hide them.

I've known that. But I expected a greater difference. It's just not enough to matter. And I don't like halo headlights, so the RS is not for me.

The red one is a render too. Notice the fake plate is same?

Except on the red render there are not even dots where the license plate screws go.
