It's bird poop. It wouldn't be what you were thinking of, I could tell you how I would know that, but lets just say my wife works at a pet store with the birds.

Robins are actually very territorial and it wouldn't surprise me if he saw his reflection as a threat on his territory-as mentioned, cover the mirrors

i agree the bird is looking at its self in the reflection or mirror. so just buy a car cover wont be a waist of money cause you can use it everyday and it will protect your paint.

wash your car and put a nice think layer of wax on that door. search junkman

the picture is priceless, but the bird waste is very bad for the paint. If he eats the wrong thing it will permanently scar the paint. You need to deal with it immediately. The bird is looking in the mirror and window at his reflection. Thinks its another bird. Find him a mate and your problems are over. Go to your local pet store, buy a robin and stick it in a cage five feet from the car. That should solve the problem.HAHAHHANext time you come out, he should be on the cage. You just need to find out if he is a boy or girl which means you need to sneak up on him or her real carefully and take a peak. Good Luck!.

UPDATE. 5:20 am my feathered friend has taken position on my beloved Camaro. Fortunately(for me, not him/her) when I scared him away, several times I might add he made the decission to hop off of the car and land on the driveway instead of flying away and returning as usual . This small change in his behavior provided the clear shot, I mean provided a way to end the problem. So in memory I have posted a final picture of the little fu#@ker. No car covers no rubber friggin' snakes, no dirty socks on my mirrors, no bird poop everywhere, NO MORE ROBIN
