You mean like how y'all said the Motor Trend 11 GT that went 12.8 was a ringer?

Still hasn't been determined if the MT times were corrected or uncorrected.

BTW - love the GT500.

what would it matter if they were corrected?

if they are correcting for DA nothing is wrong with that.

Could be the difference between a 13.1 - 0 vs a 12.8 -7 as published.

I'm still not seeing the problem.

If the place they were running at the DA wasn't exactly optimal I wouldn't mind them posting corrected times.

The point being is it is like posting the difference between SAE and STD dyno readings. One will always be better than the other.

On the flip side, there have been confirmed independent results of sub 13 sec. stock runs on the 2011 GT which is very good. More independent results are needed.

Back OT....I would be interested to see a 2010 GT500 with the same tires as the 2011 and same variables (track condition driver) time differences. I bet it would be closer than the "official" times listed.

I would like to see the same thing.

I know for a fact that tires make a big difference at the drag strip with a stock 2010 GT500.

reading his posts he doesnt sound like hes getting touchy. If anybody was getting touchy maybe it was you after seeing this list and witnessing how strong the GT500 is, you responded by just saying "i eat cobras" with your mid 13 second car.

Apparently changing the tires on the 2010 GT500 netted a 5 second gain. Not sure what tires they changed to, could have been all out race tires.

Muscle Mustangs and Fast Ford's went 12.6 @ 112 mph in their stock 2011 GT. Best printed time so far for the GT.

The car dynoed 375rwhp.
