It sure would suck to have your car retro-fitted like this and be thrilled with it and then stumble upon this thread. No matter how much you love the retrofit, you wouldn't be able to get out of your head how vehement people are about their hatred for it.

I'm all for having opinions, but respecting other people and their opinions and preferences is equally important.

Peace, love & crabs to all.
Before I jump in and do something like that with my car I for sure would take some pics and run them up the flagpole with other folks and at least get their opinions on it, that way I don't just dive in and destroy my car like that.
some of us are a bit harsh in here about our opinions, but then again I am one of those type that just will tell it like it is, I learned in my graphic class that the most honest critiques are the most important, even though they may hurt some feelings we still learn from them and strive to improve. I hate when folks sugarcoat things in order to protect my feelings, I would rather hear that the car looks like crap from folks in here than just go out on the road in a tacky looking thing like that and catch flack from folks out there, because they not only will say crap about it they will also be pointing fingers and laughing and even taking videos to post on You Tube under "Look what this guy did to his car! can you believe it?" section.
Just my two cents.

I think it's kind of cool. I would never do that if I got a Camaro, but hey, it's his car.
