I like to know too how much more weight this sunroof add and also how much rigidity loss the structure suffers vs the fixed one.

I plan on tracking my car on occasion and love to have some sort of opening without buying the vert but if it goes against maximum rigidity then I will have to give it a thought: pleasure vs competition Camaro SS for me.

i ordered mine with NO sunroof. i think it takes away from the car a little. that rev- mohawk is a key selling point for me. just another thing that makes it look like the concept.

Although I like sunroofs... I like the reverse mohawk look better.

I originally ordered with the sunroof...then I saw a pic here with the roof opened and realized that I lost the reverse Mohawk. I promptly called and had the sunroof deleted. I rarely use the sunroof in my Escalade and I have the two other Camaros with T tops so I can drive whatever my mood desires. I really like the lines of the power bulge in the hood and the reverse Mohawk of the roof.

No Thanks.
that's the only way they could make it work without significantly changing the roof line

I like the sunroof, it's different, but I don't want one. I want a mohawk.

That's what I figured too. I read somewhere long ago that the design team really went at it over the height of the roof. To engineer it so that the sunroof would retract inside would probably mess up the roofline by having to raise it a bit to accommodate it so as not to sacrifice headroom. If they did that, I suspect it would mess up the whole look of the car. Oh well. JMO.

I agree. One of the really cool things about this car is how low to the ground it looks (I'm commenting based on my own opinion from seeing the car in person) compared to the mustang and challenger. Obviously its not corvette low, but it looks good the way it is.

Plus, if you wanted to have the sunroof retract I think that would either make the sunroof opening a lot smaller, or would require a longer, flatter roof, which would totally mess up the lines of this car.

I'm still going to grab the sunroof for mine. Yeah, the reverse mohawk looks cool, but I've never had a sunroof before so I don't think I'll miss the slight bump too much...

I DID order it and then changed. I ordered my car in early Nov but hadnt seen the sunroof yet. I have always loved sunroofs and was excited to see it availble on the new Camaro.
BUT ... once I saw the Victory Red car and how it opened ... I immediately called my dealer and changed it. I was really bummed! I was so looking forward to the hole in the roof but I cant deal with it hanging out like a roof wing. So reverse Mohawk for me as well.

No sunroof love the reverse mohawk don't need the extra weight and barely gets used by me!! So I will put that 900 towards the shorties!!
