Sorry lost any respect for his Dad as he knows what is going on and is protecting his son rather than making his son stand up for what he did to us. They won't return phone calls or emails. I filed complaints with the FBI and the AG and included the father.

I'd mention to Pops that Jr is involved in quite the laundry list of felonies, and if he knowingly allows it to continue, the FBI may consider him a co-conspirator. He may want to turn Jr in prior to the FBI door knock.

Whats also sad, is THE BUYER probably could have found other Camaro5 members that lives near the SELLER, and THEY could have tried to somehow act as a 3rd party, and show up and inspect what the guy was selling and possibly help with gathering more info before the buyer decided to buy anything.

That would have been hilarious. Buyer could have said: Oh my buddy wants to come to your house to see the headers your selling. whats your address? he's just going to do a quick inspection. THEN SEE how the SELLER would react to that. THAT would have probably IMMEDIATELY led to determining that the sale was a Fraud. This 3rd party could have also transferred the payment and sent the headers to the buyer also. And just pay the 3rd party Camaro5 member a fee. And pick a well known member to handle this.

So there isn't a way you can have paypal put a hold on the funds? They can sometimes do this and if the seller can show a tracking number that he shipped the item the funds will get released back to the seller. If he can't show tracking paypal will return your money

Good Luck

thats how paypal works for purchasing transactions... but in this case the money was gifted so paypal wont hold the money it is considered a gift and not a purchase...

but since this douches address is known i think it would make for a great destination cruise for the next local AZ camaro 5 meet! how awesome would that be have 25-40 camaros roll up on this kids house!

That has not been my experience with Paypal at all. After ruling in my favor on an item that I paid for but never received, the only thing Paypal would do is to take my money out of the Seller's (I use that term loosely...might should call him the thief) Paypal account. Of course, the thief had plenty of time in the process to clean out his Mother's Paypal account and did so. Paypal would go no further in getting my money back...I lost $350.

It's a civil matter...the local authorities aren't going to get involved anymore than the FBI will. If you track the thief down and beat the snot out of him, you're guilty of assualt and the authorities will get involved to cart you off to jail.

Bottom line: ALWAYS use your credit card (not a Paypal card but a Mastercard or VISA) as your primary funding source with Paypal...ALWAYS!!! Your credit card will first refund your money and then bring their considerable resources to bear on the thief and Paypal can't do much to protect the scumbag at that point. IMHO, Paypal has the Seller's back and despite their propaganda to the contrary, they will do little to nothing for a cheated Buyer.

Some folks get a false cushy feel using paypal.

I'll never use it again.
