From a higher source, the only way it can be changed is by cancelling and re-entering the order. The system change is suppose to be done Thursday during the holiday, so FRIDAY should be the first day for polished wheels and blues changes.

The changes should be able to get in THIS FRIDAY (Thursday=Thanksgiving=system maint.) - Any change prior was most likely done by cancelling and re-ordering.

This is what I was told.

My dealer contacted me today and didn't say anything about cancelling the order and then re-entering it. He did say that it went through and it didn't bump me out of line either.

I would recommend that everyone hold tight and don't start cancelling orders. We have a week or so left. They will get this two items figured out. Patience.

I did not have to cancel my order. My dealer could not change it in the system, so he made a phone call to GM, the old way of manually calling in the orders....and he spoke w/ someone over the phone, he got a reference number, and gave them my order number, and they went in manually on their side, and updated my order...within a minute, he refreshed the screen that my order was on, and it showed the new addition of option QJ9 (and also DCP). Then he proceeded to change the other 2 people's orders that wanted the polished wheels as well. He printed me out a new copy of my order, and everything was the same, including my order number. He never had to cancel anything...

So I am very confused...b/c there seems to be others who have been able to change their orders as well??

I was skeptical of changes occuring over the Thanksgiving holiday, but evidently CamaroScotty was right....silly me.

My dealer was able to add, from Quick Order, the (Q9J) Polished Aluminum Wheels with the (WRS) RS Package previously selected with no problem at about 5 P.M. today.

He also said he did not submit orders to production, but rather, they would be "accepted" by GM, at which point no further changes could be made.

He also said 12,000 pre-orders were now submitted.

....and admitted how in the dark the dealers had been kept by GM.
