good for you , glad you caught it in time, I never smoked in my life and I can't stand the smell of Cigarette smoke, I was so glad when they banned smoking from restaurants and businesses.

I still have dreams about smoking. In my dreams I start smoking again and feel I let myself down by starting up again. Then I wake up and realize it was just a dream. You know you've got it bad when you dream about it.
<--Smoked for 13 years. Quit cold turkey and have been smoke free for 7 years. ...I'll tell you one thing though, if I found out today I had some type of terminal illness, I'd start smoking again. Smoking cigarettes was one of life's simple pleasures for me.

You're exactly correct. And it wouldn't hurt you. But I would smoke on a regular and obsessive pace. But I could take or leave a drink or two.

Congrats, I used to smoke and thought I could never quit and it's been 14 yrs. now and I can't even stand the smoke around me anymore. And just think of the money your saving not having that habbit. It's so worth quiting.

Keep up the fight PQ, it's going to be an uphill battle for a while. You have lots of folks here in your corner ready to help you out in a New York minute should the "urge" start to overtake you again... I truly hope you succeed in this quest to quit for good.
You're already feeling the benefits of not smoking (more energy, waking up earlier, etc). Your body is trying to tell you something.. We want you around for a long, long time... Stay strong, we are here for you. Lori |
