I agree on both counts that the LSX block and the KB are a great combination. I have my LSX block but I am shopping for a set of 6 bolt heads to take full advantage of its potential. I agree that the car can use all the grunt it can get in order to get moving.
Oh i know what you were saying, I've had a couple guys bring up the weight issue lately for going with an iron block...So i had to justify myself
I also eat doughnuts for breakfast...carbs are good for energy

we completely changed directions with his car and it is moving forward with the new goal. the engine hasn't changed much, but the power adder has. suffice it to say as much as we have faith in the KB and its capabilities, he wanted to shoot for something higher then it could supply

So you went past the 3.6L KB's abilities, did you go with the 4.2L or in a completely different direction? At this point I wouldn't be shocked to see a large set of twins.

I'm really glad I took my comment about the twin 86mm turbos out of my post, you guys are Nucking Futs! That thing is going to scream!!!!

What is the estimated launch date? Has he got his pilots license yet? That thing is going to flat out fly!

If a single is good for 900rwhp what are you guys going for? What boost pressure are you looking at?

That's gonna' be pretty nice. But, I would have went with a ProCharger F-1R. That will provide as much boost as you'll ever need. No lag, nice progressive increase in boost througout the power band, and won't quit at 6-7k/rpm., IAT's will be low, 1400hp. intercooler, no meth needed. On an LSX 427 with LSX-LS7 heads you won't find anything better.

Calbert1999 - you must really have your heart set on my buildI should have my new trans in anytime and then we are finally off to the track and see what and F1-R LSX427 is capable of but twin turbos can put out more power than than the F1-R just in a different delivery. It seems there are several of us whos cars have been in a shop way more than they have ever been driven.

Yeah I hear you man. Wasn't my plan to have vehicle in the shop again so soon. Thinking, when does it end or what's going to break next.
