Don't get me wrong, I like the ZL1 front end... on the ZL1 where it belongs.

I'm just not overly fond of the stock spoiler. I'm sure I'll just leave it tho.

The only spoiler I like is the NLP one. I don't like the mailslot and the lights on the ZL1 front end look better to me. I don't want to spend 1-1,200k to swap them out, so I doubt I ever do.

Hi all! Looks like the typical Spring SWOhio Mod Day is well in the works!

Don't know yet what I'll be doing with Merlin - I'm in the same boat with Gordy and waiting for the insulator/ported intake manifold bugs to be worked out. And we never get all our tax paperwork in a timely fashion so I won't know for a while if Uncle Sam's gonna want more than he already stole from us. More mods dangle in the balance...

Thanks, Doug, for once again offering your place for the festivities. Please let us all know what we can do or bring to help make it an easy and fun day for you, too. You've been so overly generous in the past that you've got us all spoiled rotten!

Let me know, I'm putting in an order soon. You'd have to get them installed somewhere... It takes cutting and welding your exhaust.

Actually you saw 68 Automotive's work. Now I know why they are no longer in business. Anybody who knows how to weld can put the cut outs on though. Just make sure they have a hybrid wire for welding stainless.

Do you MIG weld or TIG weld the cutouts?

I had to part with my cutouts when I got the new exhaust. I may put a new set on the new exhaust when it's installed.

Yes it is. I bought that spool when I was going to make my own flowmaster exhaust.

It's mig. Tig is by far the best kind of weld out there as far as penetration goes. It takes a lot of practice to know how to do it corectly. I thought since I knew how to gas weld, I would buy a tig and take that up. Needless to say, I ended up selling it on Craigslist a year later.

Oh well. It just pushes that cam off a few more months but whatever. It will be back to fall instead of before Fest.

It doesn't affect getting the 89 painted or the driveshaft for the SS.

Also, thoughts on the ZL1 spoiler??? I can get one pretty reasonable.

I know I rant about SS fronts on V6s and ZL1 hoods on SSs but I dig this spoiler and it's just a spoiler.... What you guys think?

I love it, and have one on the way. I honestly don't care if a little more work is involved with mounting it. I have a friend with a body shop that can take care of that for me. Drilling the holes will be easy.
