It this really happening? the car flew across US in record time never really stayed anywere moved every day!! Now that its at the rail yard in Mira Loma ca.does it really take more than 3 days to travle 25 miles is there any way to find out what is going on from this point i dont know.i called the dealer and they said it only should take one day??? But 3 ooowell maybe today???if they deliver on saturday? :popcorn Im ready all the financeing done down payment in hand the car cover orderd and the gerage all cleaned out and painted!!! I just Need my Camaro.

My car seems to be really moving now. It's somewhere in Nebraska. I'm going to have to listen to the automated system about three more times before I figure out exactly where in Nebraska though. Has an eta still of next Thursday. I hope it comes sooner than that.

I believe with the cars that are traveling by rail at a good pace, the worst part of the wait is the final transport....by truck.

Its so dang tough to see your car go so far in a few days, only to know (in my case) that its about 100 miles away, and it still takes days and days to get to you....plus at this point we really don't know what the heck is going on?

My car has been at the wentzville yard since wednesday night/thursday morning and I don't know if its still sitting there...if its on a transport truck...heading to my dealer. I don't know!! lol

I could get the call at any moment...but now its 2PM...so I've kinda given up on today. I was praying for a call today...last week was all rain, but then this weekend its perfectly sunny..I want my car so bad. Friday I couldn't concentrate for half the day at work lol. Now I know monday (and however many more days this week until my car arrives) its what I'll be thinking about!

Sorry...but thats my little vent there. lol

Finally, mine has arrived. It came in yesterday, what are the odds, it had to be the only day it rains in SD. It's all good, I'll pick up the car later.

KM, I'll see if the kids want to go for a ride and I'll head out to wentzville to see if I can spy any Camaros in the train yard. It's fenced in so I'm not sure how close I can get. Any excuse to go for a drive.

My final check in to the 8/03 thread- pics. Worth the wait! The best is the reaction kids have- with as many kids love this car, in 40 years it WILL be collectible.

I ran out to Wentzville and I couldn't see into the GM plant, so I thought I was out of luck. But just as I was turning around I saw there was a hauling company across the street from the plant.

I couldn't see all the trucks only the first 2 haulers were visible from the road. The first had all vans.

The second had a RJT and Black Camaro on it. So there are still some Camaros in the lot waiting to be sent out. I'm sure there were more I just couldn't see em.

My advise: Don't worry about 40 years from new- It's a car- Drive it, Enjoy it.

Shawn and everyone with me, we left GA headed for SC. That's our last railstop then it's trucks. My dealer is closed tomorrow but maybe they can get it ready for truck And I'm lucky amd see it Monday. I can throw a rock from SC to Charlotte.

Stopped by the dealer today to check out my car. They still have to prep it so I will be picking it up on Tuesday. Car looked amazing, can't wait for Tuesday!!

for all you wondering about truck times... they are slow. My car loaded on the truck and left dearborn mi about noon on Monday 8/10, didn't show up in Cinci, about 250 miles until Wednesday 8/12 8:00 am. It takes a whiel to unload all the cars. If you are the first on the truck, you are the last off. I'd say 2-4 days on the truck is normal. Remember they don't usually work weekends. Some do though...

My truck to dealer Trip is only like 50 to 70 miles, so I'm hoping for one two days max. It is completely random for most people. Dealer said they had good relationship with trucking company and they try to get them cars asap.
