You are not alone SCRMING....

See what happens when people don't look thru the entire thread.

I wonder when my wife is going to recommend C5A (Camaro5.com anonymous) for my addiction.

Few more and we'll have 35 and then we get that set of steak knives.

It only gets this long because the MRT's are so good and popular.

Alright, I just received the MRT V2.0. I am trying to figure out how I should install these. I am thinking of cutting off the pipe where it shrinks down and just welding it to the existing pipe so no pipes are sliding into another. What do you all think of this idea, thanks?

well... if it were me I still cut where the instructions say even if i was welding.. I would clamp them on first... make sure you really like them and then weld...

The pipes were designed to slip over the existing exhaust pipe. Cut where you should (per instructions), slip the MRT's on, clamp them in place like Scrming says. Make sure all is well. Then remove the clamps and weld in place. This is the procedure I followed and it work out perfect.

That's what I'm doing. I'm pretty sure I'm keeping them though.

Is there a break-in period for the MRT V2? The sound just doesn't seem to match anything near what I've heard. General driving is fine, any time i press on it hard is where the bad sound comes in. Just comes off as a tuned Honda or something. More sport than muscle.

You might be expecting to much. It is a V6 after all, that's the sound your going to get. Sporty more than muscular.
