Nothing but compliments even tho it has a ss emblem and mrt2 exhaust with couple of mods. Also it is a manual. I'm surprised I haven't got told "it's not a v8" which if I get asked I respond with no its a v6. Haven't had any back talk.

If anything, everyone who compliments is due to the color.

I mean, come on. If you buy a Camaro, shouldn't you be just slightly aware of another Camaro just like yours (same color and model) driving next to you or sitting next to you at a light? They just look straight ahead oblivious. Sheesh! lol!

I'm about to be 55, so how old do you need to be to wear this shirt?

Why did you put an SS badge on your car when it's an LT?

I took mine into work one day and a guy I worked with said my car screamed mid-life crisis.... The ladies standing beside him thought it was an awesome car so it was a still a win overall.

I am 50 and just picked up my 5th gen vert last week. It's the first Camaro (and reasonably fun car) since my very first car 30+ years ago, which was a '69 SS Camaro. Is it a mid-life crisis thing? Perhaps... I just know it feels really nice to actually look forward to the drive to work each morning now

As for the V6 vs V8 thing. I'm sure there are times when all V6 owners wish they had an SS, LE, ZL1, etc... I know I have a hint of jealousy when I see a great looking and sounding V8 Camaro. But 95% of the time the V6 is more than enough car, costs way less, gets better gas mileage, cheaper to fill, etc... so as my daily driver the V6 simply makes more sense. Yes, I can afford a V8 camaro, but I actually CHOOSE to drive a V6.

I respect all performance cars and those who are enthusiastic about owning them. Thus, I have no problem giving the thumbs up to other Camaro, Vette, Mustang, Challenger, etc... owners. I say drive what you love and love what you drive.

I bought a brand new black 2011 1LT (19 inch wheels) and installed a hurst short throw with white knob, tinted windows etc. I got so many compliments on that car it was insane! Even the hot girl at work said, is that your "snazzy" car?!?

After 4 years of owning it I trade the 2011 in on a barely used 2013 AGM SS 2SS/RS with all the options. NO ONE COMPLIMENTS the SS! Maybe it is the color? I don't know. However, the car has Kooks LT and NPP exhaust, that usually gets complimented.

Actually I have never even wished I had a V8... But that is just me. I have had plenty of V8 cars in my past, most with far less power than my Camaro. Only V8 car I wish I had back was my 65 Stingray, now that car was a real handfull..

I've also had "the mid-life crisis" thing thrown at me. Fact is, it just took me 6 years to be able to buy one. I was determined to make my dream come true.
