turbo99 jumps in talking about his 680whp manual haulin balls and what not posting up a 10.8x on the fast list. I jumped in and said for him to watch his comparison because Nurtro car is an auto so even though he shows less whp than a manual the track will prove the auto quicker. In other words his combo make a hair over 500whp and a manual would show 530 maybe...at the track...the cars would be the same or the auto may prevail.
turbo99 jumps in and starts talking about me shutting my mouth because I ain't above him on the fast list...bla bla...I called him capn search engine or something and told him to go check the 1/8th mile list which I'm in the top 20...going quicker than he and with less whp (loss through a converter etc...bla).
mod deletes all of it.
I know I got the post off track...and I'm sorry to Nutro for that but I was just trying to kind of defend him and all the keyboard cowboys around here.
I just had to vent...thanks...AA Group was good this morning! LOL

Haha don't sweat it, and thanks for helping out. A group of us here are going to hit the track this weekend or next hopefully so I can get some slips.

Cool. The street tune I have in my car now makes it so much more fun to drive. It's nice when everything feels right.

Ryan suggested the SS2. I'd go more aggressive, but like I said earlier I want to get into some road racing this spring and I want something that can handle the abuse.

Honestly I still can't decide what to go with. One day I'm feeling Cam the next I'm feeling a SC. The cam would obviously be better for road racing but the SC would be better for some street "activities"...

You'll eventually do both then.

I rarely have time to go to the track so street activities is mostly what I do!!

If I stick with the racing I won't do the SC because of the added weight. Plus if I do a SC I'd have to pay for a new clutch and suspension parts and probably the new master cylinder for the shite transmission etc.

Well just got back... 432/422. Not too bad. All I have is a Set of catted Pfadt LT's, Vmax ported TB, ADM intake with a scoop, dyno tune. Never got around to putting on the UDP. Jeremy said I could figure another 5-10 to the wheels with that. Not too bad.

You're gonna have to pay for a new clutch eventually anyways. Birm told me to just abuse the stock one until it goes. It's a wear item, and it'll go one day sooner or later. The suspension parts could save your ass on axles. I need the master cylinder anyways. Mine grinds with high RPM shifts. Those were hard truths for me. My $$$ didn't go nearly as far as I had hoped once I admitted to myself that I shouldn't spend it all on power. 1k on HPT and gauges. 1k on suspension. 1k on wheels and drag radials. A lot of the nitrous stuff was free. I probably only spent 800 there. 1200 for the cam parts. Hopefully I'm done spending for a while...

Those numbers are about as high as it gets for a bolt on car. How does she drive? I feel like my pedal is actually connected to the motor since I got mine dialed in. I need to make an appointment to do some baseline pulls before I put the cam in. I'll be on a heartbreaker dyno (dyno dynamics) though. I need to use the same loaded dyno that I'll use for PE tuning once the cam is in.

It feels good. The runs were done on a DynoJet. My base line factory stock was on a different DynoJet but the car put down basically 368/365. So I feel that the gains were good driveability is very nice. The only problem is my tires are about done and it's in the 40's which is getting to the lower end of the Super Car G2 comfort range. So basically there's been a ton of sideways action going on today... lol

New tires next month looking at the Pilot SS tires. Slightly larger out back too.

Hopefully this will hold me for 8-10 months as I collect parts and square away my suspension leading up to heads and cam and possibly a ported manifold or maybe I say to hell with it and get a new one.

Half way looking at the dual plenum manifold that Vararam is putting out. Gotta see how it does first. I doubt I would get a FAST over a good ported manifold though.
