Ok so decided I would pull the trigger on my 7.62x39 ar and put the order in. These were custom order piston operated with np3 bcg and nitride barrels. Pretty close to the POF p308 I bought a few months back but in 7.62x39. With piston operated and nickel boron coated bcg looking forward to feeding 1,000's of rounds of wolf $.25 ammo. From the information I gathered I should not be surprised to hit 1/2 moa at 100 yards with good 7.62x39 although still be under 1 moa even with Wolf. Good short to medium range weapon for me.

If that's the 9mm Comp model....I just snagged the same thing on Friday. I love 1911's but already have 5 in .45 acp....So the nine was a natural.

WHERE in Jersey? I used to live in Hunterdon Co, near Stockton.

This one.

Grabbed that one first - the combination of the Colt review in Guns&Ammo and the ruckus out there in IL ended up tipping the balance away from the more or less similar Range Officer (that I never did see or get to hold in 9mm). Stopping in the shop that I did - this being last Saturday - was kind of an impulse move, as we were on our way to a couple of completely different activities and I didn't have a permit on me.

Pistol #2 has to wait 30 days, and the remaining permits have expiration dates . . .

A few miles east of Philly. There's a water tower well-known to frequent I-295 and Turnpike travelers that has a township name on it.

I pass through Philly on my way to Barnegat....IF I drive out. Otherwise not familiar with the area. Though have a buddy from Evesham.

I put some rds through mine today and it is a lot of gun for the money. It seems to like 124's more than 115's for some reason. My 1225 fps 115 loads that my two SIG X-5's digest flawlessly....possibly too light for this Colt. It seems to like full power 124's more.

Ordered a few spare mags today from Brownells. I think I am going to like it.

I moved from Jersey out to Montana in 1979 and never missed Jerseys idiotic gun laws. Especially the pistol permit program!

Here you walk in, buy it , do the form, get approved and walk out. No waiting period, no permits, No ID card, all you need to be is a resident with some sort of verifiable ID.

FN in MT

True dat. Here in NY that could happen if NYC would secede and become it's own state. The hildebeast took NY by winning 9 of 62 counties, 5 of which comprise NYC. It all worked out for firearms and ammo manufacturers though. I dropped about $3k from March-Nov last year, lol.

Thanks for the ammo tip, and from an engineering perspective it makes sense. I know there's some 115 in the house (for my son's XDS) but maybe I'd better bring a variety with me when I can get out to the range. Outdoors in what looks like rain today and I still need to clean and lube it anyway - maybe tomorrow.

Oh yeah, I'll need to show my Firearms ID card and have the purchase recorded simply because it's pistol ammo. I wonder if population density has anything at all to do with all this and/or any tendency to embrace socialist thinking (NJ is #1, about 170 times as densely populated as MT at #48).

Evesham's not far away at all.

As a former resident and devout never ever again of the people's republic of NJ I can certainly understand that. PA is soooooooo much better than NJ ever was.

In a side note we LOVE the Finger Lakes. We based ourselves in Corning last year and hit a bunch of wineries. Her favorite is Bully Hill. We are going to try and go up again this year.

It's a shame weather is going to suck here this weekend (well, like almost every weekend). Our Camaro club was planning to meet this Saturday for our annual spring Watkins Glen spirited 3 lap session, followed by go karts nearby, then another 3 lap session. Looks like its getting called off until later. First time it's been rained out in 6 years. We also do it in October. You should try to come up next time we have one.

Ok what do you guys think.

I am considering cutting down the barrel of my Sig MPX to recess the Silencer CO - Omega 9K inside the hand guard. The supressor will be in jail for a while so I am just kicking thoughts around.
