Once I finish the rebuild I will need to call up a converter shop and get one made up for this so I can atleast get the transmission in. And then ill get the driveshaft made up and save some money up for axles.
Sounds like a great build. You ought to get it done just in time.

Let me say this about the PSS's, when they are warm they stick like glue. I dropped about 6-7 seconds just by changing to those tires at my home track. When on the street, I have 315's rear, I have trouble breaking them loose. They are expensive but IMHO worth it. SoCalCamaro (Danny) has a great write up on them in the "Wheels and Tires" section.

My street tires are 295 Invo's that I can break free easily and often. I have gone through two sets of Invo's in two years. When this set is done I will get some PSS's for my street rims.

BTW, thanks for the birthday wishes a few weeks back. I have been lurking lately because of my migraines. Yes, I still have a headache. Yes, I am seeing one of the best DR.'s in the country who gives me good drugs but my head still hurts. Anyway.....

I see some of you are looking into some suspension mods. I have some BMR bushings, all the rear ones, and toe rods that I am not using anymore if any of you are interested. Let me know but be patient on me getting back to you.

Fast List, I was on it for a few years but have been bumped off recently. IIRC I was as high as 15-16. While money will buy you a spot on the FI list the Bolt ON list can still be attainable with a combo of the right parts and talent IMHO. Practice, practice practice. It also helps to have good DA so watch the weather.

But remember that the list is nothing compared to the fun and comradery of just being at the track with your friends. Besides, going fast in a straight line is easy. Try a track with both right and left turns to really challenge you and your car, lol.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my next
Track fix.

Shoot me a PM of what you are asking for the Toe Rods & Trailing Arms if you have them also! Thanks

Hang in there T I know what you're going through. Just had a real bad one about an hour ago and had the doc put me on a new drug yesterday. Let me know what parts you have and for how much, I might be interested.

On tires, you might want to look at the Conti DWS's. They are rated just a little below the PSS's for a LOT less $$. I think I paid around $950 out the door. I have 295's in the back and 255's in the front. Those sizes are actually cheaper than the OEM sizes.

All depends how the money goes, as long as nothing comes up I should be good. Might not have the axles and roll cage in to start the season but it will be on the road.

Mickeyg36, biggest reason I recommend the ss2 for you is because you wanted to road course and I feel that a torquey, 2500-6800 cam setup with a 3200 would be better. The car would be faster straight line with an ss3, and a 3600. But the 3200 would be a tad tight for the ss3 straightline. If you were worried about it sacrificing a little 60', you certainly can do the ss3 and a 3200 converter, and it will be nice on a road course. The ss3 shifts the tq curve up about 300-400 rpms, hence the converter recommendation difference between the 2.

We had a tough time coming up with a decent place for the Fuel pressure regulator, but we found a decent spot. Doesn't help we are cutting it REALLY close on the length of fuel line, I won't be surprised if I have to buy some more. Still have a ways to go overall, still need to put some split loom in some places and once its all together clean the shit out of this thing . Passenger side of the engine bay is extremely busy.

How are you going to vent that? You're gonna need something otherwise you'll push oil out of the rear main. Been there, done that.

I posted over in drag racing an alignment question...that a bolt on? lol
I'm getting aftermarket camber bolts. I'm maxed at -0.2 right now cutting 1.49-1.56 60s. Only using 3/4 the tire if you look at wear on the MT's. These will get me another degree. What should I shoot for? 0.5 positive camber? What about toe?
Pfadt drop springs and Pfadt sway on full stiff.

btw...nightmare...nice!
