Cool Hey all

Hey Tucson Camaro Owners! I am a student at U of A, and I just bought my first new car. A 2013 Camaro RS. Absolutely Love it. Just thought I would say hello and you may see me around when I get back to Tucson!

Haven't been to one, so I don't know what to expect, but it looks like fun. Right now I'm mudded in and the forecast isn't promising.

The heck with the "say hello's" and just get down here and join in the fun and let's see that ride of yours!!!

Awesome club to belong to, great people let alone a common interest. My wife and I haven't been with them long as we just picked up our first 5th generation a few months ago after a looong hiatus from the muscle car world. I was eyeballing the Hyundai Veloster or the Ford Focus turbo and I can tell you just to be able to hang out with all these guys and girls I'm glad I (we) picked the Camaro!

Have heard two stories on this.
1. It will make your exhaust somewhat louder all the time particularly between 1,000 and 3,000 RPM's.
2. It will also knock off about 6HP in the process as compared to leaving it alone.

I have also read where the MPG figures fluctuate as well.

If number 2 is true, forget it. More horsepower is the name of the game, not less. Anybody want to chime in on this one?
It will make your exhaust louder by leaving the baffle open all the time and you shouldn't lose any HP since your mufflers will be flowing better. But there is only one real way to find out pull the fuse and see how you like it. Put it back in and see if you miss the louder exhaust.

Having my fuse pulled now for 8 months I have noticed that my car is louder but not obnoxious. There is no drone like the SS cars experience with aftermarket systems.
I have not noticed a loss in mpg's at all. I'm getting about 16.5 on average just doing normal driving.

Normal driving in a ZL1.....does that means foot to the floor all the time???

LOL! That's like the claims made by the manufacturer on the CAI with a slight gain in MPG. The problem has been noted that most don't not see the gain since they equate a new CAI with more power, hence the foot in the peddle syndrome!

Re: fuse pull...Thanks for all the input. What the heck, if I don't like the baffle staying open all the time I can simply just put the fuse back in. Not like its a "no turning back proposition".

Looks like you guys have some sort of nuclear biohazard reacting under that hood there!

BIGS is good to go too. If only the weather will hold off until after the show tonight - looks nice now, but somehow with an 80% chance of boomers I doubt it. We all know how monsoons are suddenly "subject to change".

Registration is between 5:00 - 7:00. We were thinking of getting there a little early so we can eat, maybe 4:00. Northerners can meet at the usual Oracle & Ina location at Bank of America at 3:30. If the weather likes like its going to take a turn for the worse we will not go. I will post updates as the day progresses.
