Here are the issues I have come across so far. I have a system that came with 4.0.3.

Radio volume us much higher than the mp3 volume. Have to remember to turn the volume down before changing over.

No bluetooth for phone use or OBD2.

DVD player does not work.

I have not been able to check the webcam use yet and I have not installed the backup camera. I hope to do those this weekend. Brightness of the screen gets bad at night, but there are apps that should take care of that issue. My wifi in my house does not reach my garage. I have ordered a range extender for the house so I should be able to take care of any app downloads then.

Navigation seems to work well and I expect it will be better when I hook up to the shark fin antenna for GPS.

I haven't figured out how to change the apps in the quick bar at the bottom of the screen. Those would be nice to be able to control and hopefully I can figure that out. I just haven't had an evening to just work on this, I have been grabbing a few minutes here and there when I can get them.

Just an idea, if you happen to have this stuff laying around.

Use a long Ethernet cable connected to your router and an old wireless router. You should be able to get the wifi signal to work for the amount of time you need it.

Thats a good idea. I actually have a wireless n router just sitting. This might work for me this weekend.

I think in the long run I would like to install a repeater. I sometimes like to be able to look stuff up on my tablet when I am working on the car so a signal out there all the time would be nice.

I'm glad I held off on ordering. Price and the DVD player are what made me start considering this solution vs MyLink. If the DVD player doesn't work, maybe I'll go back to MyLink. Or keep waiting to see how things develop.

I contacted Lim and he had a possible fix for the Bluetooth phone and the DVD player in a matter of minutes. The phone fix worked I haven't checked the DVD player fix yet. I will hopefully get to try that this weekend and let you know.

Although communication is sometimes interesting with the language difference, Lim seems very committed to making all problems he can right.

Cool, so what was the fix for the phone?
For the DVD, you removed the 2 screws on the top, right? Just making sure

So, before the fix, the phone didn't connect via bluetooth at all, right? So now, can you connect for phone calls, and for music streaming? Can you dial from the unit and have it initiate a call? I assume that the microphone in the phone is still being used. Are the stereo speakers being used for output, and does it pause whatever media is playing while you are making a call?

Sorry to ask so many questions. I'm trying to get a good picture of what works and what doesn't.

I'm assuming when you say the DVD player doesn't work, that means it doesn't play videos or audio, correct? Please let us know when you have a chance to try the fix.

The DVD is the screws in the top. Looks like a sticker saying to remove would be a good idea on that. I won't be able to pull the radio to do that until Saturday. It is easy to pull and reinstall so that will be quick.

The bluetooth he said to connect through an app instead of through the settings. When I did that I was able to initiate calls from the radio. The car speakers are the output for the phone. I have only made one call so far and I didn't have any media playing so I don't know if it will pause the media. I will test that this afternoon and let you know. Ok, I tested the phone at lunch. It does mute whatever media is playing at the time.

I believe it is using the microphone on the phone for calls. However, it may be using the one on the phone and another one. I was talking with the phone sitting under the radio and they could hear me good. I put the phone in my pocket and they could still hear me good but said that there was rustling like the microphone was being brushed by something. I assume my pocket lining. It made it harder for them to understand me.

I did the same thing when itbdoes got mine. Went a week trying to figure out the DVD. Lim eluded in the past that the unit uses the phones microphone.

I tried a few different apps to try and back door the bluetooth to OBD2 and no success. I still cant get the installed navigation to work and may just go back to using copilot. I sent him a short basic email with video on the iGo problems and he replied 2 days later on how to use the ACC in the factory settings to keep the unit on after the car is shut down. I was a little confused and asked for clarification

My iGo has worked well so far. I don't have the antenna mounted anywhere yet since I am looking at hooking up the shark fin once the cables come in. Because of this I loose the signal some.

I really hope to figure out the bluetooth to OBD2 since I owned them already anyway. After I finish the stuff I have I will be working on that and the webcam as a possible dash cam.

I installed the radio last night just to see if all things work, no final fitment yet.
Some issues, please let me know if any of you had these and how to fix them:

• Provided speaker for chimes works but when radio is off emits static and popping sounds every 3 to 5 seconds
• Volume is WAY too high, must be something to do with the BA amplifier, can't get in the factory settings, yet
• Using the BT dial to get to factory settings (i.e. ##210400##0) will NOT get me to the settings but instead shows some random AC/Vent icons
• Which equalizer app should be used?
• Is there a BT fix, mine sometimes connects sometime does not, very inconsistent
• I'll play more with it and bring more feedback.

This is the 4.0 unit, just received it this week.

I haven't had any trouble with the provided speaker producing static or popping.
Volume on the radio is much higher than on the mp 3 player. I have not figured out anything to fix that yet.
I have not tried getting in to the settings through the dial-er yet. I will look at that.
So far I have only used the plain EQ app. That only has base and treble. I do not have the Boston acoustic system so I don't know if that changes what you would want to use.
I have found that my Bluetooth does not show that it is connected until I use it in some way. However, even when the Bluetooth does not look like it is on if a call comes in it comes through the head unit.

The more I play with this system and figure stuff out, the more I like it. Feels like it is pretty plug and play from the hardware standpoint, but then there is lots of tweaking to do to really get enjoyment out of it.
