Anyone,
What if any difference is there in the 1LE and ZL1 transmission, gearing only?

Any idea how stout the axles may be?

Gains in RWHP from the electric steering?

Any other difference in the ZL1 vs 1LE brakes, besides the 6 piston fronts?

Thanks Guys

Axles should be from the ZL1..."on the shelf", as it were. Same carrier as SS, though.

EPS + Dual-Mode could = 10hp

Brakes: I suspect the 1LE pads (compared to SS) will be "aggressive"...shorter-stopping but quicker-wearing

Thanks.

I guess it's a 1 piece front rotor.

Any idea of the price to add a 2 piece front rotor and the 6 piston calipers?

From whom? GM? Aftermarket (StopTech etc.)? Brembos only, or Wilwood, Baer etc.?

Do you think Chevrolet has me on their retro fit beta test list

The CTS-V calipers are available at a very reasonable cost. The ZL1 Calipers are three times as much. What we don't know is if the calipers are any different.

That's because the -V will stop on a DIME and give you THREE cents change...while the ZL1 will give you NINE cents change...but only with a certain-colored caliper...

Did you folks know that BRAKE CALIPER COLOR determines stopping capabilities?

TRUE story...sez so right here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...=212317&page=4 Post 81-on

The last time I went to the Doctor, I told him my head hurt in three places.

His advice?

Didn't the Corvette or CTS-V have 4 pot calipers in one color and the upgraded brakes were a different color?

The GS Vette has FOUR colors available...3 as optional colors...but I don't think the paint color will affect the braking distances/fade/performance.
