Once the 6th gen Camaro comes out Ford is basically screwed because they won't have the weight advantage anymore and IF they have one it wont be anything like the 300 lbs one going on right now and then it will come down to who has the better engines. And we all know who has the better engines which is Chevrolet. Talk about a fanboy. You know absolutely nothing about the automotive world. NOTHING. Your endless rant's with zero real world data to back your statement's are laughable.

The bottom line is all the Mustang Fanboys are scared now that the new 5th Gen Camaro came out last year since their favorite little car is in jeopardy cause last year the Camaro killed the Mustang in sales and horsepower and everything but yet you guys still want to support Ford who believe a v8 engine is 315hp as much as a v6. Then they make it faster with the 5.0 so its quicker just because its lighter than the Camaro when we all know having a better engine is more of a victory than just the car being lighter.

Then the Mustang is just ugly and the Camaro looks better so you Ford guys are still scared unless Ford does some serious work on the looks of that car they are in serious trouble. I'm just tired of all the Mustang fanboys coming to this site and then people like me have to shut them down again. I haven't said anything much about it and I enjoy talking about them but there comes a time when enough is enough. Camaro & Corvette are the best while Mustang's just another car on the road!

please tell me you do stand up you are killing me here.

Yup, that's what I thought.

The Mustangs big advantage is its weight once the Camaro catches up weight wise with it their advantage is gone. It just depends how long Chevy is going to keep the Camaro this size we may not have another even match up until the 6th gen Camaro or they may just add more horsepower to the 5th gen to even it out. I think the SS and v6 will probably get upgrades in power next year for sure the SS im not sure about the V6 though its not bad the way it is.

As far as the Challenger goes I like the looks of the Challenger alot its a great looking car. But when it comes to performance with the Challenger you can forget about it. The car is just too heavy and is like a boat. It doesn't do you much good to have a engine like a hemi in it if the car weighs as much as it does. While its neat that the car looks almost exactly like the old Challenger its also a hindrance to the car performance wise. The only way the Challenger will even be considered a threat to the Camaro or Mustang is if they make it lighter with another generation which would be a first body style change for the car. It's pretty much just Camaro Vs. Mustang right now. I've heard about the new 500hp SRT8 coming out too but it won't be enough to compete due to its weight.

I think these cars should all go on a diet, and have the engine take some steroids on top of that. That is basically what the Boss Mustang has done so now it's GM's turn to compete against that market segment. The GT500 for 2012 will get a boost in power just in time for the Z28's return since the Z28 is being tuned to beat the current 2011 GT500.. Fun times to be a muscle car fanatic We all should sit back and enjoy the show... No more stagnant 4.6 Liter 15 year old engine anymore.. Thanks to the Camaro's return, the quick release of the 5.0 erupted. I see the trend should continue and GM will try and one up Ford and vice versa. However in the weight dept., the Camaro has a long way to go so I don't expect much of a change until the 6th gen body comes out..

Yes Ford is watching what GM does with the Z/28. Expect the same year the Z/28 comes out Ford will up the power of the GT500 to around 605hp.

I didnt know the BOSS was getting weight reduction? thats cool if it is...got a link?

The 4.6 received a couple revisions from 96 to 2010. It got PI heads and cam from 99 to 04. It went to a 3V head in 2005. Then it got a cai from the bullit in 2010 (not really a motor change but i thought id throw it in)

The Boss will actually weight more.

Not exactly sure about the Laguna Seca version though. Apparently their is still something not released about the Laguna Seca that is pretty big, from the rumors. But my guess on that would be that it will rev to 8200 rpms and not 7500 like the regular Boss.

Yea I am sure the weight increased because of the body/aero mods. Possibly the suspension components, probably in the brakes too.

I am not exactly sure on what size tires/rims are coming on the Boss either. They could count for some weight increase.

Oh, and I won't comment on the blide spot as it is not an issue for someone who knows what they are doing.
I sure did prove your point and it doesn't bother me. The Camaro IS a great value in performance for the price you pay. But the 2011 Mustang GT is a BETTER value as it does everything better then the new Camaro. Look's are your opinion...
I do enjoy this site and hope you do too. The best car made for under 35k? The 2011 Mustang GT sure is. You don't have to comment on the blindspot issue anymore. You're blind to the issue itself and won't admit it's a problem. However the automotive press has spoken for you and have noted this design/engineering problem. A few new camaro owners have already jumped into a 11' Mustang GT with one of the main reasons being this.
