Sorry for the lack of info as we have been dealing with working out minor calibration quirks with the engine management and the new supercharger package. It is indeed quite different than the V8. If we were to have rushed it to market and called it good, we would probably have a few hundred people mad by now and our name would have been dragged through the mud on a poor system. Nobody wants that. We want to make sure it is dead right before delivering on our promise. We haven't forgotten about you, but myself and others have been overwhelmed with the surge of customer cars currently being built and haven't been as active on the boards. We normally are not the first to market with such a package, but rest assured, it will be RIGHT when delivered.

Thank you again for everyones patience. It will prove to be a home run in the end that is worth the wait!

Jeff

I for one have no problem with them taking their time and getting it right. They put these things on with a 3 year warranty (I think I read they did that) so they want to make sure it is rock solid and it also comes with their NAME/HERITAGE - which means something to them... Give them the time to get it right.

I still hope they'll get it done sometime this year. I don't mind that they are taking their time, as long as they get it right. When the time comes my car will be shipped to LPE.

I emailed Tim early this week and received this response:

We still do not have any additional information on the V6 supercharger but I will let you know as soon as they are happy with the final product.

Thank you.

They must be still working out some kinks on the test mule.

What is disappointing to me about this Lingenfelter supercharged V6 option is that I would have never expected Lingenfelter to make a high-performance V6, and yet they were the first to basically say, "We can do it." Between then and now, we've all gotten the same messages. Of course, they'll let us know when they have a great final product. You can't sell something you don't have, but Lingenfelter announced a great option so early in the process that we expected something to happen with it.

I'm sure Lingenfelter isn't to blame for the delay. It probably is the tuning. I just don't like that it isn't available yet.

I'm just curious if anyone has seen a V6 with a supercharger on it yet?
Or better yet a Lingenfelter V6 car?

It's unwise to over-promise and under-deliver. That kinda appears to be the case here. That Bosch ECU seems to be quite a bugger and they no doubt ran into some unexpected challenges and/or perhaps their marketing data tells them "not worth it in this economy".

Hennessey also came here trying to pique interest in a cost effective single turbo. Stop teasing us you guys. Heck yeah, we're interested in boost. Some of us V6ers are an offshoot of the so called "import crowd" who prefer the efficiency of boosted smaller motors that make crazy power over a V8.

I know neither company is obligated to build us a turbo or a SC but don't pique our interest and then walk away. We're intelligent enough to understand explanations of where you are in the process and why. Just something to think about if you folks are reading this. And to GM: why don't you help out a little with some info on the ECU?

In the interim, I'll enjoy following the successes of Z with his STS setup.

Last I knew Graham Behan was working on the tuning himself. If I were you guys, I wouldn't wait around for this. It's very obvious that all their time and attention is going to V8 and Corvette mods.

They may eventually get around to it but given the lack of any new information, I wouldn't even expect them to return to this project this year...by then most of us will have gone the STS route.

It is a little ironic that the GM supported Leno TT car doesn't run and yet STS working with Trifecta can get one to run.
