So, middle of last week I went bouncing around the C5 forums and found this thread. Took me several days to read 6 years and 650 pages of posts but, I did it. It filled in some down time at work and home.

Have to say, the level of dedication, determination and perhaps some lunacy, is impressive and, a bit frightening in its intensity.

Congratulations on that world record run. I'd like to point out however that your success that last time could be attributed to Brandi being hauled there by that "blood brother" instead of those other alien trucks. Those runs where you experienced tribulations were nothing more than the Brandi starship showing her displeasure being put in the tractor beams of unsavory tugboats. Now that she has a proper mothership to ride around behind she's going to take care of you mo' bettah.

'Course, all the money you've spent on her might have something to do with that 225.8mph run.

Looking forward to your next adventure in warp speed travel.

Now I'm off to visit another epic thread Darth_Emma started 6 years ago.

...omg, I never looked at it that way, but I think you are on to something...

You are more dedicated than I am... I can go back and read a few pages, and yes I laugh and giggle at some of the memories... And most assuredly the antics of others in here, but wow... That's a lot of reading...

Welcome to the lunacy..

It's not so much dedication as it is getting the whole story from the beginning. You lived this thread so there's no need for you to go back and read it all. Getting lost because you don't have a clue where the road went is kinda embarrassing. Don't want none of these thrown at me in my ignorance. It's also entertaining to see the progression into utter HP/TQ lunacy you and others have traveled.

I do have to say, your adventures have got me dreaming of a V6 with 320CI. Yeah I know, why not just go with a small block V8 but, how many 5.2Liter V6s are out there? I'll need to win the lottery or have a long lost aunt leave me some money before that could happen though.

Darth Emma, cool thread.
Speedster, cool thread.
Moreno Brothers, cool thread.

SSE...... I'd say the best of the bunch...

Thanks.

Speedster was next on my list of epic build thread reading. PQ's as well. Hadn't heard of the Moreno Brothers until now though.

I really should stay off these boards. Every time I visit, my planned mod list gets added to.... DE is killing me with her cosmetic mods. Don't even get me started on what she's done performance wise and I haven't read through half the thread yet.

i just got home at 5:30 this morning after a nine hour drive. In spite of that, I randomly picked a page and started reading... I fell asleep with a grin on my face and warm memories of the events and people that participate in this thread. It started off as a journal for my car, and hopefully a point of interest, and it turned into so much else. Doug and Glen and Chris and Matt and Mike, I knew from San Antonio... Along with others... But the people I've met along the way... I can't possibly mention them all, but the members of the H-Town Camaro Club... Chris and Randy and Bruce and Mike and Brian etc that I met in person in Phoenix, Tim whom along with his lovely wife entertained my wife and I when we visited Seattle... Others I've driven across the country to help and spend time with... Dale, allowing me to drag his car to Indy after he drove to another state to pick me up from a shipyard... And so many others... it's been a hell of a ride... And I appreciate all the support

And for what it's worth, I was almost 50 before I got to a place where I could do this... No complaints on my part... I tried to put myself into position to have opportunity... I tried hard to not let things get me down... I listened to advice of others who went before... Bruce, Terry, George, Bryan, George, Matt, etc...

SSE, don't nostalgic trips just be trippy?

Where you headed to next with SS Brandi? No, that SS label I tacked on don't stand for Sub Sea either. Nor SuperSport.

Does anyone know the genesis of that OMGWTFBBQ phrase. Idly curious. Been bouncing around the internet for a lot of years now and this place is the first I saw it. Where's PQ to explain these things?

If you're a V6'r you might like my thread: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=385386 Its a build of a much smaller scale than these guys but it's been fun.

And hey Robert, finally finished the build. For now anyway... Your cars little sister did pretty good on the dyno(made 600 to the wheels). I'll be at the track Friday to see if she can get into the 10's.

We are signed up to run the fall Texas Mile event... Clark, from Michigan is going to run the Ohio Mile of the ECTA in two weeks to try to take my record... I to,d him to go for it and I was completely serious.. I hope he gets it... That'll give me something to shoot for two weeks later... Hook up on Facebook with me if you are on there and follow along... I always post up something in here but a lot of friends post there and tag me in it..

The genesis of OMGWTFBBQ is probably right there with Shunt...
