I just confirmed with JusticePete that Convertibles will be allowed to participate in AutoX at CamaroFest III without having to add a roll bar.

Now I need to get the rear subframe bushing installed. I could wait until Mod Day, but it sounds like Heinz's lift is overbooked already.

I know several on here have done this to their cars, how difficult are the to install without a lift?

If they are inserts, then it is easy with just jackstands. If it is full bushings, then it gets a little tricky because you need more room to work.

Bushings.... Heinz lift won't help bc it's a drive on. You need to drop the rear cradle, which is simple.

If you want to do it we need a sawzall and several blades. I got them out pretty quick on JDs but the sawzall is required.

Why lower in the rear? I'd lower it 1". But that's just me.

The bridge jack would lift the rear-end up. I'm not sure if there would be access problems though.

It's tricky. I really don't think your lift would work at all. Basically you unbolt everything then raise the car up off it.

At JDs we had it on a transmission carrier so we could work on it standing up. Im not sure how we could do it without a 4 point lift actually.

We can try...

Tomorrow I might put my Camaro on the lift and see how the access looks.
