+1 I know everyone on here is very passionate about this car but let's all take a breath and be patient for a bit. It's not like orders for the car are being taken right now and we are missing out by waiting for details on an auto. The poll has been heard. We will have our answer soon enough.

Votes = how many people voted in the poll, limited to one vote per user.

Replies = how many people write something and post it in this thread, which you can do as often as you like.

Think of the votes as more of a measure of people's preferences, and the replies as a measure of their passion about the subject.

The answer is not going to come until they want to tell us it never had anything to do with the poll reaching 1000 responses... after talking to john at the fest he was just as vague as the rest of them he told you he would tell you if you got to 1000 responses but he didn't tell you how long after you reached 1000!!!

For anyone who is concerned with my PATIENCE level, go ask DevilKnight dude. All i did was ask for clarification on what FINALLY Viral was able to relay. I don't need someone implying I am impatient... which is FALSE to begin with and not appreciated. Got that Devil? Nowhere in my questions was I saying for GM to hurry any announcement. All I asked for was why the replies dont match the votes. Devil bridged some GAP in his head to declare someone else impatient.... Now I am done defending myself for his "impatient"
comment that was actually rude.

I was expecting them to make the announcement at the open house Factory event in Canada next month. That along with the new model 2012's plus some other new tidbits. This way they get alot more publicity
and a huge crowd of camaro fans attending the announcement as a great backdrop and promotion. Perhaps they will film a new commerical about the ZL1 etc.,
Have to wait and see what the powers to be have in store for us.

GM has confirmed that they will be making a Camaro related announcement at this event. Have faith.

Yeah, I asked earlier about the difference between 'votes' and 'responses.' I am guessing we will hit 1000 posts about 2 weeks before the BBOMG,

which should coincide quite nicely.

Would be a nice camaro, but since they have the ZR1 I don't see anything like that in the horizon of the camaro's future.

More likely to be a twin turbo charged V6 on a much smaller and lighter
aplha plateform which will handle the road courses and compete better
with the boss. Coming to a dealer near you some time in the late summer of 2014.

I looked in my crystal ball and that's what it said

I doubt that will ever happen!

It'll put the performance over the Vette and probably the price too! The Corvette will always be Chevy's Flagship performance car and that would hurt their sales! Once again, just my opinion!

Now, if you want to put an LS7 in a lightened Camaro (think of the old 1LE cars) and make it track ready, that's doable and might sell pretty well too!
