If I'm streaming Bluetooth music from my tablet and charging my Android phone via the USB port in the console, it frequently switches to No Device Found and then kicks back to the last source. This is even with the phone set to Charge Only. When I disconnect the phone, it's fine.

Anyone else seeing anything like this?

My PDIM is up to DB/DD, IIRC.

The delaer replaced the PDIM today in my 2011 Camaro. It now shows DB/DB. Is this the most up-to-date module/software? It still takes forever to index and repeats the process every time the ignition is switched off/on. I've tried using my Android phone and a USB memory stick. It still has to re-index every time even if I leave the flash drive in the port.

I believe that's how it works since in order for it to tell if there are new audio files on the drive it has to re-index. The only exceptions are iPods/iPhones as they do the indexing themselves.

no, They did NOT put the most updated PDIM in your car, if they had, you would have DB/DD the P/N they should have installed for you to have the latest HW/SW would have been #22797218.

in case you don't have it, here is the TSB about this problem, and the part number is on the top.

PI0055B with GM PN#.pdf

I leave my flash drive in the port all the time, when I turn off the car, when i turn on the car, it starts to play as soon as the car starts. but the drive reindex's a small protion and only takes about 30 seconds.

For me, it Took SEVERAL trips to the dealer to get it right. Even took 2 after I showed the dealer service tech and service rep th PI. Even then I took me complaining to the owner/manager to get it resolved.

My PDIM has the same problem. When I play music through the aux port while charging, I get an intermittent "no device found.". I then disconnected the aux cable from the player, left it in the PDIM and switched to XM. I would then get intermittent switching back to Aux input. in other words, it appears that charging the phone via USB is the problem. It never repeats the problem when only listening through the aux port.

Would be nice if these updates could just be downloaded through Onstar.

sure would, but its truely a HARDWARE issue, so the only to truely solve the problem is to have the PDIM replaced, and its a WARRANTY issue.

Dan, you can either download the TSB from the link I put up above or in nothing else, I have some printed oun in the trunk of my car, you can get one from me next time we see each other.
