Hello everyone.
yo

$12.00 catch can build...

Was going to re-wire the bottom of my drivers seat last night. Stopped to check my oil before I left work, still burning about 1qt every 3k miles.
So, instead of doing the seat... I swung by the hardware store on the way home and picked up a few things.

Grabbed a spare 90* adapter that I had on an old carb in the garage so I could create a turndown.

Then the required pizza and beer while the epoxy cured

Few more pics with the stainless baffles installed during fitup

Final product

and a coat of paint... which turned out much brighter than I thought it would. so I hit it with some black as well

put about 75 miles on it this morning in ~15* temps. gonna check it at lunch and again after I get home tonight to see if its doing its job.

all total, I paid $30.00 for the pipe, fittings, hose clamps, etc at the store.

Since I ended up using some spare parts I had in the garage, I'm going to be taking all but 1 of the fittings and clamps back as well as some strap steel (pipe hanging strap) that I didn't need. so total cost is around $12.00

Considering I only paid $500.00 for this car, there is no way in the world I would spend half that price on a "professional" catch can. This may not stop all the oil that a pro-engineered one might, but I'll be willing to bet it does better than the PCV valve on its own.
