The past 2 days have been nothing but club stuff so I couldn't make it to the track, was overcast for some parts so that helped. Yesterday the Oklahoma Muscle Car Club, the one that hosted the Rally In The Valley event, presented a check for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oklahoma City for $4,500. That was all the money raised from this years event, lower than last year but still very good, will help a lot of families.

I did get a good log yesterday with my Camaro though, getting that AFR fixed so it won't have that dead spot. Have to keep working on the tune though, getting better at understanding the logic.

The car idles so much better now with the timing at 19-21 degrees, the exhaust fumes isn't as bad. Still have some rough spots that require smoothing, but the car runs cooler and smoother. I had to do this by adjusting the Desired Air Load table, stock has the air load too high so the throttle opens up too much, making the timing go near TDC just to place a load on the engine. The DAL table is actually what controls your throttle body, I can make 10% pedal position open up the throttle all the way, or make 90% close the throttle. If I had kids in the house I would have it to where 2000 RPM's and above would close the throttle completely, no speeding for them.

I have the lowest part of the AFR during a WOT run at 0.8 lambda now, before it was 0.68, way too rich. It still isn't accelerating as fast as I would like, I think the intake cam is overlapping the exhaust cam, allowing boost pressure to leak out. The boost line is in the 5th chart, top green line. If you plot its course with the RPM line in the top chart you can see how it is flat till 4500 RPM's then shoots up. It goes from 3 PSI to 5 PSI in 500 RPM's, will have to experiment with that.

Also on the top chart if you see the MPH line, you can see how hard it spins on the 1-2 shift, sounded awesome but spinning ain't winning. Transmission shifted fast and hard though, 0.18 seconds. Still have more work to do but heading in the right direction. This 0-60 run was about 4.4-4.5 seconds, asphalt sucks for traction.

Hit my goal, 0.85 lambda (11.9 AFR) at 12 PSI, car was screaming while chirping 2nd and 3rd in 90 degree heat. Found a way to get even more fuel out of the injectors, but any further and the HPFP probably won't keep up, already was running 10 MPa at the peak of fuel injecting.

For reference, last time my pulse width was over 8 ms and the fuel rail pressure dropped below 9. Now the injectors are at 6.7 with more fuel rail pressure and a richer charge.

Figured you might be tired of seeing tuning graphs and talking, so here is a video I made of one of my 0-60 runs. Had to hold the camera while driving but thankfully I was on a closed road. HP Tuners put it at 4.3-4.4, should be able to shave a few more tenths off with better tires and getting more of the tune down. Traction control was still on, forgot to take it off so I didn't completely blow the tires off.

Thanks, it is fun when she hunker downs and goes. If I can get my fuel ratio to 0.80 lambda I will bump the boost up to 15 psi and really put some power down. I've learned how to add more fuel, wasn't easy but it makes sense how it works now.

I think our 1/8th mile times are very close, it is just the top end your car has the advantage. I need to work on mine, I got it once to trap near 114 but it went back down, have to see what I changed. Now that I have more fuel though I think I can get it back there without any troubles.

Also decided to check my axle nut today, good thing I did. It started backing off again, half a mark right now. I had a friend look up the torque specs and even though the standard SS is 199 ft-lbs, the 1LE is 266 ft-lbs. Got a new pair of axle nuts that I can crank down very hard. Every time the car wheel hops at the track it breaks that torque. Last time it was even held one with red lock-tite, must be some very strong stresses going on during the hop.

It was extremely hot and humid at the track, DA was over 3000, track was a little slick from the humidity also. My Mustang only ran a 12.8 @ 111, which corrected is 12.3 @ 116, about 0.2 faster than my run I made in 1200 DA. It really needs a Torque Converter, especially since it has 3.15 rear end gears which I'm not changing out. My launch also wasn't helped out since the IAT's were reading over 158 degrees at the line, it was VERY hot. But overall it did well for barely any mods, got it to do a burnout finally at the track also by turning off stability control.

Wife's Mustang V6 did finally race another Camaro V6 though, was extremely bad. I warned the Camaro V6 owner that my wife was very good and the car was fast. He asked where he could get mods and I told him about this website. He ran a 15.9 @ 92 while my wife ran 13.8 @ 104. During the second run she was next to me with my GoPro recording, she revved up her engine to load the driveline at the light and the tires started spinning, terrible run on that one. The Nitto 555's are doing as much as they can, but I'm going to get her true Drag Radials and a Circle D torque converter. I think in the fall with those mods she should be in the 12's as a NA V6. She ran a corrected 13.3 Friday, so she is close.

Camaro V6 wise, I have Upper Control Arm bushings and full Subframe Bushings ordered, going to drop the subframe, fix that axle nut and install everything. Also going to look at using the MAP sensor in my LFX intake to replace the MAF. Right now my MAF is maxed out in a 3" tube at 6 PSI. In a 4" tube it is maxed at 10 PSI. I would have to go to about a 5" tube probably for a 15 PSI run. The LLT MAF sucks, it only goes to 12,000 HZ, while the tables to go 500,000 HZ. I think I have the time and knowledge to do this conversion, just have to map out all the voltages to get everything close as possible, then use histograms to finish everything. The LLT has its MAF signal for a base air, then it uses RPM + Air Load for the final calculations for how much fuel to inject (with an Air-Mass to Fuel-Mass table in another place). Will be a fun experiment.
