Is there anything any of us can do? Petition major companies to take on this project?

I think I might have a solution for his account.

that's a start.

But, as far as taking on his other projects...if he can continue to work on them and finish them (ie: Double Din unit), then he can either sell them with a sponsorship or get a paying sponsor to advertise and sell them for him. His call.

Hey guys. Just for an update, I wont be making kits anytime soon. I am working 2 jobs, and the only shop I have set up is my garage, which is pretty full (mill, lathe, tig, mig, box, etc..). Once I get something going I will update you guys. But as for now, there isnt much I can do unfortunately :-(

Any thoughts/possibility of releasing your wiring diagrams to let techies fabricate their own versions?

+1, I'd be willing to pay for the diagram.

there arent really any diagrams. its 3 circuit boards that are hand made, and like 150 wires that have to be connected, stock LEDs have to be removed and transferred to the new board, look up post #347, page 14, and you can get a small idea what is involved. I dont think there are many "techies" that can handle this. Its not just a little cut here and some solder there. I have a few more pics of the original kits somewhere, if anyone is interested.

Ofer can customize anything lol.

Jessie, I'm sorry to hear about your situation with Hess. I still remember picking up my car from LTL and to this day still get a massive amount of compliments on the door projectors. I really hope you can find something else to pay the bills soon. You deserve a stable/steady job after all you've been through.

On another note, is Hess closing down like some rumors state? I'm STILL trying to find a way to pick up my hood/trunk =/

Last I heard they were moving shop, I just had to get my 2 project cars out of there this weekend. I left before things had a chance to get worse. I know your hood is still there, not sure about the trunk. Might wanna call Mike if you still have his number, if not PM me. I still get a few requests for the projectors, but havent had time to make any kits.

One of these days Ill get back on my feet. Anyone know a legit shop hiring talent?
