I think you are on to something. I noticed it too. It is a distinctive sound all it's own and nothing like my old Ford 302's of the past. Another thing I notice is that the engine does not sound like it is revving that high. 6,800 sounds like 4,500 of the older 5.0 and 4.6 days. Very weird. I love a car that is fast of course thats why I installed a cam in my Camaro however what do you get to do more drive real fast or cruise and enjoy the sound ?

My uncle has a 1989 Mustang Gt 5.0 get this original 6,418 miles as of right now he gets it out and stretches her legs as he puts it

every so often its bone stock never been cut on or modded yes its a 5 speed of course and Dam does it sound good and thats coming from a Chevy guy.

I used to think ford spent time making a car sound agressive from the factory and with aftermarket exhaust when i heard the new 5.0L I was like WOAH you serious thats not Mustang from the past

Thats why I say this NEW 5.0 isnt a 5.0 I liked the old push rod , single cam high reving 5.0 boxy body with a Dam good suspension from the factory car.

You would probably be interested in how much BS was called on the vette forums about that run. All of it from other vette owners and a lot of it from other ls3 vette owners. The car was tuned before, but he ran that time and claimed he flashed it back to stock before that run. It was like 30 pages long of back and forth about people saying he lied. I remember because some of the vendors got involved and it was pretty funny to watch.

No, why would you do that and break your stuff? Slamming on the brakes must have really helped....

We prefer to launch cleanly and let the stangs get a good view of our rear bumper!
