Hey Everyone:

Here's a follow-up on road racing down in Millville NJ at NJ Motorsports Park. We cannot get dedicated track time for the club as there are only two open track days remaining for 2015. Here's what I suggest.

Anyone interested in going down for the open track day on Friday Oct. 23 please create an account on motorsportreg.com. This site keeps track of your racing sessions and allows you to signup for open track time at a number of tracks around the country including NJMP.

http://www.motorsportreg.com/

After completing the account signup, register for the Oct. 23rd event at the following:
https://www.motorsportreg.com/events...4#.VfuXBzZRHoo

When choosing which race, pick progressive laps beginners. There are already 6 cars signed up but no worries. If the group get too large they will split them the day of the event. I suggest signing up fast. There is a limit to the number of cars. If the weather is predicted to be bad you can back out of the race 48 hours prior and not be charged. The cost for 4 20-25 minute sessions is $175.

Make sure to read the requirements section. It's important you wear the right clothes and bring a proper helmet. Tech inspection starts at 7am and classroom training at 8am sharp.

If anyone has any questions send me a PM.

It's going to be a great time so sign up!

Chris

Ok so I signed on to the site. Looked at the course and came to the conclusion that either car will need an engine oil cooler. Running 3K to 7K will generate high oil temps over 230 degrees. And more likely 270 at bearings. So I'm ordering a system for GTO.

I couldn't make it last week, I was in Paris for work. I can't make it to Cars and Coffee either because I'll be at Irish Weekend in Wildwood. Does anyone know if there will be another Edison Depot meet before Winter?
