I found this on the official MRE website: "Each MRE provides an average of 1,250 calories (13% protein, 36% fat, and 51% carbohydrates) and 1/3 of the Military Recommended Daily Allowance of vitamins and minerals. A full day's worth of meals would consist of three MREs."

As you can see, they are pretty high in fat...but the good news is, I don't typically eat the whole thing...they are very filling!! So think I will probably just eat the main dish and supplement with my own healthy foods for the rest. At least try to maintain some balance and sanity check on the calories!

As mentioned, I plan on using some pics as progress checks...I realized I hadn't posted up a pic in this thread...I don't have any bikini shots or anything and nothing from the backside cuz frankly, I have the flattest butt on earth LoL. Anyway, these are the best two pics I have that depict my "baseline"...they were taken over the summer.

I can understand the high carbs, they supply the fuel on hand but what's with the fat content.

You shouldn't stand that close to your car, you're gonna melt the paint!!

Like Bonnie said, abs are made in the kitchen not the gym and you are real close to having those abs poppin'. You look real good.

Smith Machine shrug - 315 @ 5x5 +1 set of 225 @ 20 reps
Hammer Strength cable lat pull - 180 @ 5x5
Hammer Strength bent over row - 135 @ 5x5
Hammer Strength cable row - 170 @ 5x5
Front rack chins (pull ups) - body weight @ 5x5
25 minutes elliptical cardio

I'm gonna keep buggin' you, look at your menu, depending on when you went to bed you have had no nutrition for about 12 hours at least and you're eating most of your carbs at the end of the day WHEN YOU DON"T NEED THEM and they are most likely to get storred as fat. You're running on empty when you do your lifting and loading up carbs at night when you can't burn them

Excuses, excuses, here is an easy fix, take your turkey chilli, put it in a container and save it for tommorow earlier in the day, eat the spinach salad, now you're 50% better already

Well, I doubt my gal would appreciate me tossing what she cooks into a container to take for lunch the next day rather than eating it fresh with her.

Like I said, gotta make the diet fit your life. I'm lucky to have her. If she wasn't around I'd probably forget to eat dinner at all most of the time.

1/2 cup and I really don't build muscle that easy, I've just been doing these workouts consistantly for a year now!

Yea, I don't get the high fat either...I certainly do not plan on eating three of those a day!

Thanks for the compliment, I'm gonna work really hard the whole time I am here at training and deployed and by time I get back hopefully my abs won't be the only thing popping! Like I mentioned before, I am already seeing some good results in my arms.

As for melting the paint, that will never happen as she is MUCH MUCH hotter than I will ever be!!

If you look at Bonnie's diet and workouts you will see why she is sooooo succesful. She eats 4-5 meals a day most times, she eats carbs and proteins together without a lot of fat, she trains and eats consistantly and that my friend is what it takes.
