That's so bizarre...I just stumbled onto this thread. I come to the last page, and three of the four posters are friends of mine. COOL!Name: th_grin.gif

Hi Gunny, Linda, and Jessie! Happy retirement Gunny, and welcome home Jessie from your deployment

With envy.

I know it's not real original here, but it's different enough to distinguish me from the other Synergys (Not better mind you; different)
The handle came after the idea for the license plate. But we joined C5 before we managed to get the plate.
For the plate, I wanted something clever. Something that required the reader to think, and then smile and go "I get it".Name: slaphead.gif

Size: 2.2 KB and then figuring that it must be some inside joke that they were not privy to. I originally wanted it to read WITH N-V. But, there wasn't room on the plate, and we had to drop the hyphen. I get a little irritated when people look at it with their face screwed up in that puzzled look, and then they guess something like "With Nevada?" But I've learned to take it all in stride. I now just consider it my filter for the un-imaginative. I'm happy with how many people do get it right away.
Green with envy...It's just intended as a play on words. Nothing else. No implications. The only thing I have to wonder is if some people take it as something arrogant; as in, we expect people to envy us. Not that I really care what people think of me. But they tend to get a little aggressive on the road, and do stupid things. And sometimes I get the feeling they are doing it because they think in their own little minds that I'm some kind of snob. Oh well. As the saying goes: F**k'em if they can't take a joke!

Most folks might guess the "2LT" part references the Camaro. We have a 2SS.

USAR = United States Army Reserve
2LT = Second Lieutenant.

Not terribly original, but it worked. Will probably bother a moderator to change it down the road.

Question User name

So was wondering what some of these mean. Some seem obvious some not so much. Care to chime in with how ya come by your user name?

Mine was originally a code word we (ammo troops) used while I was stationed at Elgin, to plan our second killer camping/canoe trip @ bear lake. There where a few barracks' rats we didn't want just showing up and drinkin up all our stash.

So when I got on AOL in 91 I think it was... I needed a user name. Thinking "tramtwo" would help me connect with old ammo buddies perhaps it is what I choose.

It took MySpace and the Facebook some 15 years later before we would begin to reconnect.

That's my story and I am sticking with it.

Awesome avatar. I need to watch that movie again. Mine is my name, it's unique enough where I don't usually have to put numbers after it. Plus, it makes meeting people from the forums easier.

It is a great number, lol. Reminds me of this, which coincidentally also stars Ben Stiller.
