Numbers aren’t feelings right? This thread is about guns and cars which someone then the derailed into politics.

Gun related deaths per 100,000.
United States 12.21
United Kingdom .2
Canada 1.94
China .04
Japan .04

Homicides overall per 100,000
United States 5.2
Canada 1.5
United Kingdom 1.1
Greece 1.7

Have a good day.

Gun lovers can make up all the excuses in the world. Bottom line is 14000 gun homicides per year in a 1st world country is despicable. And only the USA has this problem. Your egos and ignoring of the facts just makes you like a liberal.

This is such a volatile topic and there are arguments for either side. We should let a car forum be what it was meant to be.......A car forum. This is a very polarizing and emotional topic and takes away from the enjoyment of the forum.

Why is that a problem? Why can't intelligent people have an adult conversation about any topic, whether or not emotions are involved? Btw, this one is originally about firearm storage inside the car, so definitely related to the Camaro.

Now, I understand that opinions were offered from several perspectives, but again, how will a culture of discussing differences and genuinely considering others' valid points ever be restored if "polarizing" and "emotional" topics are disallowed at venues where there is a fair chance of conflicting views.

It isn't exactly helpful to relegate firearms discussion to NRA supporters' forums, because the overwhelming majority of visitors there will be of one persuasion, and vice versa. If we should combat anything, it's the total bifurcation of topics, viewpoints and "groups", because it leads to a complete inability to engage with holders of opposing or even slightly different views, which has the potential to tear any society down.

Just my 2 cents'. I am a legal gun owner here in NJ and at the moment don't feel the need to carry in the car, hence no input to the original discussion, but I will say that IMO having a choice that need not be taken it is better than the other way around.

I put my glock9 under the seat because I have a car gun magnet installed. At first, I wanted to mount the magnet beside the center console but I wanted it concealed and have easy access. So I find it better under the seat. You can also buy 2 pairs of the gun mount magnet for cars if you have bigger weapons to carry but you have to find the best spot where to mount it. Check this link https://motoringcrunch.com/reviews/car-gun-magnet/

I recently retired from a 30yr LE career in NYC and many times have had to do a parking valet shuffle to park in the morning when the midnight shift leaves; we double park then take their spots when they pull out because street parking in front of the precinct is a premium in NYC thanks to comrade Dil doBlasio. So, I would have to gently slide into the leather seat with a fully equipped gunbelt, taser included, and try to not scratch up the leather. Very difficult and there are a few marks left on the driver's seat, not bad though.
Another P365 owner here. Man I love that piece. It is usually still on my right hip IWB at 3 or 4 o’clock. Extra mags on my belt at 11:00. Sometimes it’s in the back of the passenger seat.

I've been out to get James Martin for a couple of years now. Get him a beer if we are able to meet up at CamaroFest some time.
